Selena watched as Melody charged and took the goon down with a punch to the nose, ribs, and then jaw. Selena couldn't help the giggle that escaped her lips. She was unable to help herself as she looked at the goons circling the girl. She finally saw one of the men grab Melody by her hair and pull her back. Now, Selena wasn't really a fan of hair pulling, especially when it was with a girl and shook her head. Something else she would need to teach her goons and if that one lived, he would be the one that she made an example out of. Usually, Selena didn't like men rough housing women for any reason, but at a time like this, she allowed it, but not with all women. She knew that Melody could handle herself and that's why she allowed this to go on, of course, if Melody proved that she wasn't, Selena would call them off immediately and if they didn't back off, well, Selena had a few...tricks up her sleeves.
When Selena heard Melody's outcry, she looked down at her a moment. "Oh Melody, you know exactly where to find me!" She yelled down to her cheerily before watching as one of the men punched her. Selena frowned somewhat, but resisted the urge she had to yell at him. She watched as Melody fought back and grinned, nodding her head a moment before she put her pinky fingers into her mouth and whistled. "Boys. Gone. Now." The goons looked at her and then did as she commanded. Selena watched as they left before she smiled at Melody. She saluted her with two fingers before she back flipped her way int the shadows and off into the night. Melody could follow her if she wished, but Selena wasn't exactly counting on it.

Melody clenched her fists as the men ran off, doing so as Selena had instructed. Apparently this had all been a trap from the get go. To think Melody had been nice and even considered Selena a friend.
"Stupid..."
She whispered to herself. She ran off around the corner of an alley. Just far enough away that she couldn't be seen but could be heard. She quickly transformed in Ghostrider and prepared her little plan.
"What's a girl like you doing in here? I don't care, go now!"
Then with a whistle Shadow appeared and Ghostrider jumped on and rode into the alley.
"You have harmed enough innocents. It's time to pay for your crimes!"
She called before riding to where she'd last seen Selena.

Selena heard a deep, angry voice telling a girl to go and her eyes lit up with glee. She turned while on the top of a roof and tilted her head to the side as she heard someone tell her that she had harmed enough innocents and that it was time to pay for her crimes. What innocents had Selena hurt? Well...recently none! Of course there were the innocent people that she had harmed while she worked for her father, but recently, since his death even, Selena hadn't harmed anyone...directly. Indirectly she had other people harm innocent people, but the innocents were never her target. They just happened to get in the way and get caught in the cross fire. Now, Selena had never used guns or weaponry like her father and if any of her goons even thought about using guns, Selena would make sure they would pay for it dearly.
There was a silence before Selena sat a light coming towards where she once was. She grinned and turned, running and jumping off of one building's roof and onto the next. It was like the last time she had played hide and go seek with Nightwing when she was on the top of the roofs of Gotham City. Selena's eyes lit up a moment. "Don't worry! I haven't hurt too many innocents!" She called cheerily before she dropped down to the ground in a nearby alley and walked casually around, mingling with innocent people. Selena knew exactly what to do, especially since she was looking like herself and not Pandora. This would be easier than usual when she did things and she loved the idea of possibly turning this hero, quickly into a villain.

While still on the horse Ghostrider looked around, trying to follow her voice. Soon she was riding up the side of a building and onto a roof. She had to find Selena and make her pay. Deep down Melody was concerned. Was she trying to find Selena and make her pay for what she most likely had done to other people or for what she had simply done to her? It was a tough call but she had a strong feeling Selena was a criminal, so it was just a matter of finding her now. The horse trotted to the edge of the roof and she looked down into an alley where there were several people and what she thought was also Selena. The horse reared up and began to run down the side of the building.
"You can not hide from me!"
She yelled drawing her rifle from the side of the saddle. She could always use her lasso as well but for some reason that thought hadn't even come to her.

Selena grinned, unable to help herself before the people around her began to scream. It was then that Selena did the same. She turned in terror and screamed at the Ghostrider as its horse galloped down the side of the building. Selena watched as citizens scrambled around and she followed after them. After all, no one knew that Selena was Pandora and as such, the citizens of Gotham City would see the Ghostrider attack an innocent bystander who seemed to be doing nothing wrong at all. Oh the ideas that Selena had, oh the ways that she could pull them off. Sure, Selena wasn't the biological child of The Joker, but she was practically his baby girl and as such, she needed to think as he did and she did it just fine.
When the Ghostrider pulled its rifle from the holster, Selena screamed louder, as did most of the women, and kept running, nearly bumping in to people and almost harming small children, but Selena resisted and instead moved the small children out of the way and towards their parents. If there was something that Selena didn't do, it was harm children...or women for that matter. Most of the time, anyway. There were some women who were indeed people that Selena felt she needed to harm at times, but almost 99.99% of the time, Selena did nothing of these feelings and left the women alone. It was the other .01% that well...most of the time that was Pandora, not Selena.

'You can't run. I can smell your evil!'
The horse slowly moved along, as the alley had a surprisingly large amount of people in it. She saw Selena moving in the crowd, pretending to be just as innocent as everyone else. Melody's flames increased at the sheer anger she felt at Selena for pretending to be innocent when she knew she wasn't at all innocent. She fired one shot into the air, causing a massive fireball to engulf the sky.
'I'm only here for one person. I want you!'
She said pointing her rifle at a fleeing Selena as she rode towards her. She had to give Selena credit, this was a good plan. However fear was a good way to get this plan to not work. Out of fear people may very well hand her over to save their own skins. Especially in Crime Alley.

Selena heard the Ghostrider's words and her left eye twitched somewhat. She heard the word "evil" and resisted the urge to lash out. Selena wasn't evil, she was just different. Her thought process was just different and the way she dealt with things were different. She wasn't evil. She wasn't. Selena pushed those thoughts from her mind and kept trying to figure out what to do. She turned and saw that the Ghostrider had pointed at her and cursed inwardly. It figured that they would point to her. Now the crowd of innocent people will attempt to bring Selena to the Ghostrider. Selena's father was right. The people of Gotham City would do anything to save their own skin. Of course, it was then that one of the men around, grabbed Selena's arms. Selena yelped and tried to get away, but the man held tight. "No. I have a family. I'm not dying because of you," he told her as she continued to struggle to get away.
After a moment, Selena was roughly thrown down onto the ground, close to where the Ghostrider was. Selena looked up and around before she saw the hooves of the Ghostrider's horse approaching her. Dammit, she thought to herself before she put her hand in her pocket. She thought for a moment about what to do and decided on one thing. She pulled her hand from her pocket, empty and just knelt there, head down. Even if she wanted to, Selena couldn't do anything. She didn't need everyone to know who she was. She'd never be able to make it out in public ever again and she needed that. She needed to be able to mingle while not Pandora and so, she would just stay there and take it like a normal person. She wouldn't plead. What would be the point in that? Plus, her record was clean, even if Pandora's wasn't.

Melody was a little confused when she saw Selena just kneeling there. She thought for sure she'd have pulled that knife by now. Not like it would do any good, but she figured she'd try. But apparently she wasn't going to she was just....giving up. That was odd, even Ghostrider was confused. She jumped down from the horse and approached Selena.
"Leave us!"
She yelled and soon the alley began to clear out. With her rifle still in hand she pressed it against Selena's throat, her finger already on the trigger.
"I expected more of a fight from you."
She said with a sneer. This was almost too easy and not even fair.

Selena just knelt in the middle of the alley. She didn't particularly care what the Ghostrider did to her. As long as no one linked her to Pandora or The Joker, Selena would die happily. Of course, Selena had a feeling that this wasn't her time at all. Even as the Ghostrider stepped down from her horse and told the alley to leave them alone. Selena felt the tip of the rifle against her nick before she looked up at the Ghostrider. She heard its statement and gazed at it a moment. "You expected more of a fight? Don't you know that every good villain knows when to give up or back down?" Selena asked calmly, rhetorically as she knelt there. She sighed a little and her eyes moved towards the brick wall. "Besides, if I let the people of Gotham City show my face everywhere? How can I go out and act normal among them?" She asked, being completely truthful. Selena was a strange villain. She didn't usually like to lie to people unless she had to, but she did lie on occasion.
Selena looked up at the Ghostrider. "So without tainting my alter ego's reputation, do what you will," she said, still sitting there, not bothered by the gun at her neck. The Ghostrider had no idea how many times a gun or anything else had been held to Selena's neck. This was no different from any other time in Selena's life. She hadn't had the nicest childhood and wasn't a spoiled little brat who wanted more and more stuff. No, she was a girl who was raised by the Joker because he was the better parent or adult figure in her life who taught her how the world really functions. He taught her how to be who she is and she would never give that up, even if it meant being in prison for a while, not that Selena would mind. She'd probably fit in well there anyway.

"Well it seems as though many villains aren't that good then."
She said, her gaze never leaving Selena. She hadn't seen many villains give up, well any actually. SO apparently that meant in Selena's eyes at least she was the only good villain.
"Who says you'll survive?"
She knew well enough that if she used the Penance Stare Selena would be dead. Her body racked with such violent torture there'd be no way she could handle it and live. But luckily for Selena Melody hated using the Penance Stare. She'd only used it once and regretted it immediately. Using the barrel of the rifle she tilted Selena's head up to meet her eyes. There wouldn't be a Pennance Stare which she may have been expecting, she just wanted to look into the eyes of the woman who befriended her only to attack her.

Selena knelt there in silence before the Ghostrider told her that it seemed that many villains weren't that good. Selena nodded in agreement, despite herself. She only knew one good villain in her life and that was her father The Joker. He was the best villain, in Selena's mind and he was smart enough to know when the hell out of a sticky situation. Selena knew that that was how it was when you were a villain though. When you were in danger, you needed to scram and there was nothing wrong with it. Saving your skin was very important and no one knew that better than The Joker and Pandora. They knew when to run, when to hide, and when to attack. They were the best team, and Selena knew that. She missed her father dearly, so, when the Ghostrider said something about surviving, Selena laughed.
"Do you really think I'd think I'd survive an encounter with the Ghostrider?" Selena asked, looking up and into the skull eyes of the hero. "Do you really think that I didn't know there was a chance I'd die if I knelt here like I did?" She asked, not sure what the Ghostrider could see in her eyes at the moment. "If anything, I'd get to see my father again," she stated before laughing, unable to help herself. She knew that the Ghostrider would probably do something to do, but at this rate, Selena didn't care. She wasn't living for anyone except herself. She was alone and because of this, if she died, she was sure no one would care.

"You're smarter than people have been giving you credit for."
She said, still staring down at Selena. Her finger still resting on the trigger, ready to fire at a moment's notice. But then Selena said something that made Melody think. So Selena actually hoped she'd see her father and knew Ghostrider could easily kill her. Clearly she didn't do this plan in hopes of getting Ghostrider out here to kill her. But then again maybe she did it in hopes Melody, or another hero would kill her. She raised the rifle and placed it over her shoulder.
"No, death would be too good for you. I want you to live. In fact I may go out of my way to ensure you live and are never reunited with your father."
She said before climbing back on her horse. She pulled her hat down a bit hiding her skeleton face before turning the horse around and running off. A trail of slowly dissipating fire left in her wake.

Selena continued to look up at the Ghostrider, not bothered at all by the fact that a gun was placed against chin. She wasn't worried about death. Selena didn't fear anything. She used to fear the death of her father, but now that her father was indeed dead, she had nothing else to fear. She feared no death, no prison, no asylum, and no pain that could ever be inflicted on her. Yes, Selena felt, often. Pain often coursed through her while she tried to sleep at night when she wished to be with her father, but Selena had yet to do anything about it. At more than one point, Selena wished to put a razor in her mouth to make her smile permanently like her father had done. Only Selena knew the true story as to what happened to her father and she wanted to share it with everyone, but every time she asked, they refused and she ended up cutting their face in the same way.
When the Ghostrider told her that she wouldn't be killing her so she wouldn't be reunited with her father, anger flashed behind Selena's eyes for the briefest moment, but she couldn't help the grin that formed on her face. "What hero would ever accept you or your help if you made sure I lived?" She paused a moment and smirked. "You know, Ghostrider, someone's bound to kill me eventually I am, after all, the daughter of the Joker," [/color] she said with a twisted smile while watching as the Ghostrider rode away on their horse. Selena stood up, dusted herself off, and then back flipped out of the alley way and onto the street, walking around like a normal young woman would who was just out and about for a walk.[/blockquote]
