He'd been thinking ever since he had met Nightwing that day in New York. His father had been in a team too, and he couldn't exactly handle every threat by himself. Okay, sure, he hadn't faced a proper supervillain in combat yet, but it was bound to happen soonr or later. And of course, he was still largely inexperienced with the ring, so he could screw up big time if he tried to deal with things alone. So, it made sense really that he join some likeminded people in fighting the good fight.
He'd consider the avenger of course - nearly used the communicator Nightwing had given him too. However, he'd decided against it in the end because of three reasons. 1) It was obvious how prideful Nightwing was about the avenger and everything, so he was worried if that might affect the man's judgement a bit. 2) Nightwing seemed to be not too respectful of the green lantern. He wasn't sure it was because of the age, the lack of experience, or just his own imagination, but he didn't feel he could effectively work with someone who doesn't seem the least bit willing to treat you as an equal. 3) The titans were more in his age range, so it just seemed more appropriate.
Hence why he was currently standing in front of their base, wondering where the freaking doorbell was. "Hello? Anybody home?" He yelled, hoping he would catch at least someone's attetion.

Ghost Rider had been out on patrol and now was heading back to the base. As she rode across the water atop Shadow she noticed a green glow, coming from the base. Lasso in one hand and rifle in the other she sped up, assuming they were under attack. Of course she'd never encountered a Lantern in person, just heard stories about them. But all she knew was that no one at the base had powers that made green glowing possible. The fire trail across the water soon went vertical as she rode up the side of the island. She stopped and examined the Lantern, raising her rifle as she did.
"Hold it right there. I don't know who you are but something tells me you're not supposed to be here."
She said in her deep and raspy, yet still feminine voice. She didn't jump down from Shadow, knowing she wouldn't be very fast on foot and didn't know how fast the stranger was.

"Hold it right there. I don't know who you are but something tells me you're not supposed to be here." Ah... not exactly the way he'd hoped to meet his first member of the Titans. Then again, he didn't really want to meet any potential friends by having a rifle pointed at his face. "H-hey now, we don't any shooting to occur. Could you please put the gun down? It's not like I want to fight or anything." He chuckled rather dryly, hoping that the young lady would indeed lower the weapon.
"I'm the Green Lantern, and I was sorta hoping if I could maybe... check out my prospects?" He said to her, before realising that his words may have come off as the worst kind of innuendo. "Ah! I don't mean in the sense I'm checking you ou- well I am, just not in that sense." He fumbled with his words, trying to figure out exactly what to say. "What I mean is... I'm considering potentially joining the Titans."

She ignored his request for her to lower the weapon. He wasn't going to do that anytime soon. And if anything it only made her want to do it more now. He was a stranger and clearly checking out their base and now her. Not like she had much to check out, she was a skeleton right now.
"I see."
Naturally she wouldn't transform back unless she was in the company of someone she knew to be a, Avenger or Titan. A random hero she couldn't trust. They were a dime a dozen lately. She did however put the rifle on her back and jump down, walking up to him her arms crossed.
"Well, what's your name?"

He breathed a sigh of relief as she put the weapon away, though focusing again when she approached, and asked for his name. His response was to cross his two fingers, giving that sound game shows had when a person got it wrong, though the context was different here. "Sorry, but no can do. Secret identities aren't something you just give out. Let's just stick with Green Lantern for now, GL for short if need something easier to say."
Seriously, what kind of superhero revealed their secret identity right off the bat? Not only was it a threat to family and friends, he didn't want to be potentially hounded if he didn't end up joining these guys. "N-nothing against you or anything of course. It's just I want to make sure I don't needlessly endanger my loved ones. Even if that's unlikely here, it's good practice." He said, basically making what he had said earlier vocal.

She listened to his spiel and rolled her eyes. Or she would've if she didn't just have empty eye sockets. She crossed her arms as he rambled, clearly nervous. He wasn't sure if it was potentially being a Titan, the fact she was a woman or the fact she could burn his soul that made him act that way, either way she kind of liked it.
"No duh. I was referring to code name."
She said shaking her head before walking around him, taking him all in.
"So you're a Lantern, heard a lot about you guys. Come this way."
She began to walk towards an entrance as Shadow galloped past them and into a shadow on the wall, disappearing. She placed her hand on the wall and the door slid open. Naturally the fingerprint scanner wouldn't work in this form but it did sense her energies.
"So tell me about yourself Lantern. Or would you not want to do that either?"
