Arik looked at Kaylee as she managed to get to her feet. He watched as she shifted her weight and wrung her hands. Her response made him raise an eyebrow at her. "Sort of? Kaylee, either you did or you didn't. Which is it?" He asked, looking at her sternly. Arik knew that the Danger Room wasn't meant to be used by some people. Students were hardly ever allowed to use the Danger Room without someone else programming it first. They could easily mess up the activation code or type in the wrong pass code with their name. If the Danger Room didn't recognize someone, it waited until they were inside before it destroyed them into oblivion. And that was exactly what the Danger Room had been trying to do with Arik and Kaylee. He looked back down at her and shook his head. "C'mon, let's get you out of here," he said as he put a hand on her lower back and led her towards the exit. Once close enough the doors slid open with ease and they walked out.

"Well... I didn't really. My professor just mentioned maybe I should get some practice time in but she didn't say when or where." She looked up at Arik and wrung her hands a bit. "Sorry. I didn't think it would be that big of a deal."
She nodded when he said they should leave and she was all too happy to agree. She walked towards the door, not knowing what to say now. She knew she'd been stupid and it was likely that the rapped level change was due to her messing up the programming.
As she walked out the door there was the sudden sound of running footsteps and she looked down the corridor just as someone turned the far corner and out of site.
"Hm." She wondered what that was all about. Then she noticed that the screen and keyboard for programming the levels was out when she destinctly remember putting it away. "Um... Arik?" She turned to him, wondering if he'd noticed the same thing she did.

Arik glanced over at Kaylee-Anne as she spoke, telling him that she didn't really and that her professor had only mentioned that she should probably get some practice in but they had not specified when or where. Arik paused a moment and looked over at her before shaking his head when she apologized. "Don't worry. It's a typical mistake that most rookies make. As long as you've learned from this, it doesn't matter that it happened," he said as he gently led her out of the Danger Room. He knew there could also be another reason as to why the Danger Room hadn't listened to her, but he was unsure, at least until he heard the footsteps. Arik turned, ready to attack as he gently pushed Kaylee-Anne behind him protectively.
The snarl on Arik's face vanished though when he saw that the person was gone...but the screen and keyboard for programming was not. He heard Kaylee-Anne's words and nodded. "I know...but even if they were reprogramming it, your voice should have stopped the computer in the first place. As long as you didn't leave your information logged in to the programming computer..." He said, trailing off and looking at her. "Generally the Danger Room listens to whoever programmed the training level first hand. Even if someone tries to hack in, as long as they don't know your passcode, nothing should change in the system..." Arik raised an eyebrow at her, wondering if there was a chance that she had forgotten to log out of the programming system with her name and passcode.
