It had been one of those weeks and Elysia Todd was excited that this day had finally come. It wasn't just another day, actually. Sure, usually Elysia worked with the Teen Titans in cleaning up muck in the city and whatnot, but she had decided a few weeks ago that she'd be heading to New Jersey to visit her uncle Thomas. It was going to be fun and relaxing and she told the Titans to only contact her if it was necessary. She'd attempt to come back as soon as possible with her transporter, but she didn't want to. She wanted to spend some time with what family she had left besides her twin, but if the Titans needed her, she'd pop on back. Of course, she was hoping to not use any of that nonsense while she was away visiting her uncle. She didn't want to have to worry about having to rush off and be like," Um...I have to go..." And then pull out her suit, change, and be like," Oh yeah, I'm Red X. Peace out, Uncle T!" No, she didn't think that would go over too well with her beloved uncle. He'd probably scold her into oblivion knowing him.
Elysia had packed up all of her things the night before and had showered and gotten dressed about fifteen minutes ago. She looked at herself in her body mirror, making sure she didn't look too shocking to her beloved uncle. She nodded, figuring he'd accept her black, ripped jeans, black and red studded belt, and her red v-neck shirt with a black X on it. She grabbed her bag as she heard one of the Titans call to her that the taxi cab had arrived to take her to the airport. She called to them to let them know that she heard them and then grabbed her two bags. She quickly ran out the door before running back in and grabbing her communicator and cell phone. She put both into her carry on and ran out the door. She waved good bye to her teammates and ran out the main door to Titans Tower. She jumped into the cab and the man hit the road. After twenty minutes of driving and traffic, Elysia was dropped off at the airport.
After a long, long flight, Elysia stepped off the airplane in Gotham. She grinned happily and grabbed her things before catching a cab. She told them where to go and they looked at her funny before taking her to the front gates of Wayne Manor. Elysia paid the man and waited for him to be out of sight before she climbed the front gate with ease. Once on the other side, she walked around and up to the front door. She knocked, smiling at the thought of seeing her Uncle. It was when the door opened that Elysia was confused. "Can I help you?" The scantily clad blonde asked, seeming annoyed. Elysia raised an eyebrow. "I'm looking for Thomas Wayne," she said before pushing past the woman and stepping inside. "Tommy!" The woman yelled up the stairs, making Elysia cringe. "Seriously? You can't just...go up the stairs and get him?" She asked, clearly annoyed before she heard footsteps coming towards the main stairs.

They had been rolling around in bed for awhile when the pair had started to get hungry. Since the death of Alfred Thomas hadn’t bothered to hire anyone to take his place and so when the blonde supermodel had mentioned food only one thing had come to his head, delivery.
So Thomas called up his favorite Chinese restaurant in Gotham and ordered enough food to feed half a dozen people. In the meantime however, they decided that they could burn off more energy while they waited for the food to show up. It was about fifteen minutes later when a knock came at the door. The blonde grabbed Thomas’ credit card from the end table, rushed down the stairs in her bra, panties, and his button up shirt to pay for the food.
Grabbing a pair of pyjama pants, Thomas tied them up, and headed to the door when he beckoned. When he got to the stairs and glanced down the front door, he was shocked and pleased to see the young blonde woman who was standing in the hall with an obviously annoyed look upon her face.
“Elysia,”[/b] he called out with a bright smile. “What in the world are you doing here?”[/b]
Rushing down the stairs, he hurried over to his niece with his arms wide open. It had been awhile since he had seen his niece and was always happy when his family visited. It was one of the few things that brought him happiness in life.

Elysia grinned happily once she looked up and saw that the footsteps belonged to her uncle. She completely ignored the somewhat upset looking blonde who was looking at her like she's crazy. Elysia didn't care though as her uncle ran towards her. She giggled when he called down to her, his smile just as bright as hers. "I came to visit you!" She exclaimed happily before watching as he ran down the stairs towards her, his arms wide. She dropped her bags and raced towards him. She jumped at him and hugged him tight. She giggled and kept him close for a moment before letting him go. She kissed both of his cheeks and then moved away from him. "How've you been?" She asked happily before hearing someone clear their throat. Elysia turned and raised an eyebrow at the blonde. She then looked at her Uncle Thomas. "Who's the bimbo?" She asked, clearly not caring about the woman's feelings.
Elysia giggled a bit when she heard the blonde huff and march off. She shook her head at her uncle and sent him a look. "Really, Uncle T? Really?" She paused and then shook her head, holding up her hand before she picked up her duffle bag. "...at least tell me you had her checked," she said, grinning slyly at her Uncle. She knew that her uncle was a play boy, but sometimes she just wondered how long it would be until he got a disease...or until his privates fell off. Elysia would much rather have little Waynes running around than having her uncle whining because he's alone in the world and can't carry on the Wayne bloodline. Elysia then realized that someone else from the Wayne bloodline was missing. "Uncle Thomas, where's Aunt Helena?" She asked, looking around curiously.

He laughed, genuinely laughed, when his spunky niece jumped up into his arms. Hugging her tightly, he could see his houseguest glaring at the pair. It was obvious that the young supermodel was certainly jealous of the attention that his young niece was getting.
“How do you think I’ve been? It’s me,”[/b] he said with a grin and a wink. “Oh. Elysia. This is Keri-Lynn Miner. She’s the newest face of Versace.”[/b]
Of course the two didn’t get a chance to extend greetings as the young blonde woman had already headed back upstairs to the bedroom. It was obvious that Keri-Lynn wasn’t too fond of Elysia and her rather blunt honesty. Luckily for him, he didn’t plan on seeing Keri-Lynn past tonight. Yea, they had some fun dates, but aside from the physical attraction they had nothing in common.
“Elysia,”[/b] he said with a look of shock and a laugh at his niece’s comment. “You should know better than to ask me that. Of course I had her checked.”[/b]
Flashing his niece another a grin, he heard the sound of heels against the marble floor as the model started down the stairs.
“Tommy. I’m leaving,”[/b] she said to him in a very annoyed attitude.
Handing him his credit card, she turned to Elysia to flash one more annoyed look before heading to the door. When she left, she gave the door a slam just to reinforce how annoyed she was. All Thomas could do was grin and let out a sigh of amusement. Although when the door opened again, he was shocked to her Keri-Lynn standing there once more.
“Call me?”[/b]
And with that she was out the door again, this time in a more civilized manner. This time Thomas let out a hearty laugh at what had just happened. Shaking his head, he turned to his niece, and gave her another hug.
“Helena is currently in Paris at a fashion show with her girlfriends. Apparently it’s suppose to be the biggest fashion show of this decade,”[/b] he said with a shrug.
Thomas was never one to know much about fashion, except which models looked best on his arm.

Elysia laughed at her uncle and shook her head a moment when he winked before she turned and looked at the model. She didn't seem impressed and she was sure that that frustrated the model even more as she marched off. Elysia couldn't help the giggle that escaped her lips as she watched her angrily stomp up the stairs. She looked back at her uncle and shook her head at him once more. "Oh, Uncle Thomas. Why?" She asked rhetorically, giggling a little before he said her name like he was shocked. She looked at him innocently before he said that she should have known him by now and that he had indeed had her checked out. She laughed almost too loudly when he had said that before he grinned at her once more. Elysia calmed herself when she heard the sound of heels against marble. She put her hand over her mouth, stifling her laugh to a giggle as the blonde model walked up to her uncle. Elysia heard the model, who's name she had forgotten, call him Tommy and cringed a little. She watched as she handed him his credit card and walked off. Elysia ignored the annoyed look she was given and chuckled when the door was slammed shut.
Elysia opened her mouth to speak to her uncle when the door opened once more. She blinked and saw that it was the model. She asked her uncle to call her before she shut the door, this time in a civilized manner. Elysia looked back at uncle and laughed a bit before he hugged her once more. She hugged Thomas back and then blinked when he said that her aunt was in Paris with a fashion show with her girl friends. "A fashion show? Damn..." She said before looking down at herself and shrugging her shoulders. "That's fun, I guess. I mean, I'm not in to fashion, obviously. It'd be fun to make fun of those twig girls anyway," she said with a giggle, unable to help herself. Elysia was kind of mean like that though. She always tended to make fun of most of the women that her uncle dated. None of them were right for him and half of them were too stupid to begin with. Sure, they were all beautiful, but none of them were pretty enough for her uncle and she didn't think any of them would ever be a good match for him, at all.

“Well fashion really isn’t my thing either,”[/b] he said with a chuckle. “Why do you think your aunt always picks out my suits.”[/b]
He knew that Elysia was rather displeased at the fact that Helena wasn’t around. The two were very close, which was to be expected. Even though the Wayne family was dysfunctional, they were still a close bunch. Well close as can be expected when the ‘patriarch’ of the family secretly ran around the streets of Gotham as a masked vigilante.
“You really don’t like models too much do you Elysia?”[/b] he asked with a grin when his niece commented about making fun of skinny models. “You do know that your aunt and grandmother are fashion icons right?”[/b]
Flashing a wink to his niece, he had turned to walk into the large living room when the doorbell had rang through the large mansion. Heading over the door, Thomas opened it up, and greeted the middle aged Chinese man who stood there with the large quantity of food that he had ordered. Paying the man with his credit card, Thomas held the massive amounts of food in his arms, and looked to his niece with a smile.
“You know, you always seem to show up at just the right moment to enjoy a wonderful Chinese dinner with your uncle. Do you have this place tapped so you know to come over whenever I’m ordering out?”[/b]
Kicking the door shut behind him, Thomas began his small trek to the mansion's kitchen.

Elysia laughed a bit when Thomas said that fashion wasn't really his thing either. She shook her head when he asked why she thought her aunt picked out all his suits. "Because you're too lazy to do it yourself?" She asked, grinning coyly at her uncle. She knew that he wouldn't be offended. Thomas Wayne did more than the average billionaire, of course. He was a very honest, trusting, fun guy who usually did things on his own. Hell, with Alfred gone, he sort of had no choice. A sort of sadness came over Elysia for a moment when she thought about the butler that she had been told so much about. She couldn't remember ever meeting him, unless it was when she was really little. She wasn't sure how she felt about that since she felt like she knew him. Perhaps she only knew him because her Uncle Thomas had told her so many stories about him. She wasn't sure, not that she minded at all. She loved it when her Uncle Thomas told her stories about Alfred. It was when Thomas spoke of her aunt and grandmother being fashion icons that Elysia looked at him like he had four heads. "What?"
Elysia went to pick up her dufflebag when the doorbell rang. She stopped and stood up straight. She turned and looked oddly at her uncle as he opened the door and greeted the man who had food. Elysia heard her stomach growl and giggled a little before her Uncle turned to her, smiling as he held the arm full of food. She shrugged her shoulders casually before acting as if she was primping her hair. "I've got skills, Uncle T, mad, mad skills," she teased as she walked beside him. She plucked one of the containers of food and opened it. She grinned and grabbed some chopsticks from the collaboration of food in her Uncle's arms and began to eat at the Lo Mien. It was her favorite dish besides sweet and sour chicken and...well...just about anything else. Elysia loved all sorts of food and was sort of raised on it thanks to her Uncle Thomas who had practically raised her since she was fourteen years old along with her twin brother. She looked up at her Uncle. "Want some?" She asked jokingly as she held up some Lo Mien to his face.

“Mad skills huh? Only mad skills I have ever seen is you stealing my Lo Mien, Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls, and my Szechuan Pork,”[/b] he retorted with a grin as he reached out to grab some food with his mouth.
He missed having Elysia around. Ever since her and Peter had moved out on their own the mansion had seemed just that much emptier. While he still had Helena, it just wasn’t the same. First he lost Tim moved out, then Hush took his parents, time took Alfred, and age took Peter and Elysia. All he had left was Helena and the bats who called the cave home.
Even though his thoughts were of sadness and loneliness, he kept a smile on his face for his niece. Burying his emotions and keeping them hidden was something he had perfected long ago and in situations like this they were useful.
Walking through the doors to the small kitchen where the family had shared many interesting meals, he set the food down on the square table, and clapped his hands together with a bright smile.
“Okay. Now to dig in,”[/b] he looked over at Elysia who still had the Lo Mien and chuckled. “Well at least for me anyway. You started already obviously.”[/b]

Elysia nodded her head proudly. "Yes, mad skills." She said before hearing her uncle's reply. She laughed loudly, unable to help herself, which echoed through the large mansion. She blushed gently and shook her head before watching as her uncle took some of the food from her chopsticks. She giggled and nodded in reply though. "But aside from those, I have many other amazing skills, Uncle, you just haven't seen them yet," she said, grinning playfully at him as she made her way with him into the kitchen. She ate at the food in the container and watched as her uncle sat the food down on the table. He clapped his hands together and spoke. She laughed. "Hey, if my timing is supposed to be impeccable when it comes to food, I need to dig in first. After all, when have you known me to not dig in to food first?" She joked with a grin.
Elysia had missed her uncle dearly. She had missed their laughs and good times, plus, her uncle had helped her through many problems in her life. Her aunt helped her through the "girl stuff" but Thomas had helped her out more. He was there for her through everything. Whether it was a bad breakup, a fight with a friend, or just a vent session because her brother was being a moron, Thomas Wayne had always been there for his niece and Elysia was truly grateful to him for that. She would do anything for her ncle and bend over backwards just to see him be happy. Of course, when it came to him choosing women, Elysia was anything but happy. Her Uncle Thomas picked the pretty ones, but he didn't pick the smart ones, nor were they the ones that he needed. Elysia knew her uncle and she knew what he needed in a girlfriend or whatever and the girls he was choosing weren't the right ones.

Sitting down at the table, he looked at his niece, and smiled. It was almost like yesterday when Elysia and her brother were brought to Wayne Manor to live with him and Helena. He remembered standing on the front steps as the car pulled in with the two orphaned children in the back and the first dinner they had in the dining room at the large table before he suggested they sit at the kitchen table for a more relaxed atmosphere. It proved to be quite the ice breaker for everyone as a food fight broke out. After that, everything was smooth sailing...well as much as they could be with two teenage kids and his duties as Batman.
“And I don’t wanna know about your mad skills Elysia,”[/b] he said as he opened up the container that held the lemon chicken. “I know your history with boys and staying out late. You’re the only one of the planet worse than me when it comes to dating you know.”[/b]
Flashing her wink, he stuffed his mouth with the lemon chicken, and started reaching out for more containers to open.

Elysia sat down at the table across from her uncle and raised an eyebrow at him for a moment. The man in front of her seemed to go off into a daze, making the young female shake her head and grab some other food containers. She opened them happily and popped whatever food happened to be inside into her mouth. Unlike most women around Gotham City, Elysia Melina Todd wasn't afraid to put away food. She loved eating, she truly did. It was one of the many things that she was good at aside from working off whatever food she ate, and thievery. Not that Uncle Thomas knew about Elysia's thievery, or the fact that she was Red X for that matter. She figured he would probably scold her for it or something. It was just the way that Uncle Thomas seemed to be. It would just seem like an Uncle Thomas sort of thing, especially since both of her parents were gone. Who else would give her a strong talking to?
When Thomas spoke of her track record with boys, she frowned. "I beg your pardon, Uncle Thomas, but that was back in the day. Boys are not my main source of entertainment anymore," she said as she popped another piece of food into her mouth. "And that's not even fair. The only one possibly worse than you is Cousin Jonny," she said, wagging her finger at her uncle. She knew that she was right too. Jonathan James Grayson was much more of playboy than almost anyone else that Elysia knew...well...she supposed besides her Uncle Thomas. Both of these men never held women for long periods of time. Whether it was because the woman was a gold digger, or perhaps the two members of the Wayne/Grayson family didn't want long relationships. Not that they did often...

He covered his mouth as he laughed with his mouth still have full of lemon chicken. He was laughing not only because she claimed boys weren’t her primary source of entertainment, but that she mentioned JJ equally bad luck with picking women and keeping relationships. If there was one thing that he and his nephew had in common it was that they certainly both took after their father’s in the relationship department.
Swallowing his food, he got up from his seat, and made his way over to the large stainless steel fridge. “Yea well you still take after the both of us. Back in your day you made JJ and I look like amateurs.”[/b] Opening the fridge, he sifted around, and pulled out two bottles of Miller Genuine Draft. “Beer?”[/b]
He knew that his young niece was still not legal age to drink, but it hadn’t stopped him before from letting his niece drink with him. Thomas wasn’t into treating his niece and nephew when they lived with him. He treated them like adults as much as he could, except for when situations came up in which he had to be the authority figure.

Elysia couldn't help the giggle that escaped her lips as her Uncle Thomas covered his mouth when he laughed to prevent him from spraying chewed food all over the table. She tilted her head to the side though as she realized that her uncle was laughing...at something that she had said. But alas, which part was he laughing at? "Uncle Thomas, what are you laughing at exactly? I can't decide whether or not to be offended, or fake offense, at the moment," she said truthfully as she looked at her Uncle. She giggled at him a moment as he swallowed his food and got up to get something from the fridge. She watched as he opened the stainless steel door to the fridge and giggled even more when he said that she took after them and that back in the day she made him and her cousin JJ look like amateurs.
Elysia shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. "What can I say? I had skill back in the day and thankfully now, no diseases," she said with a grin before she laughed. Elysia grabbed more food as she heard her Uncle sift around through the fridge. She heard the clang of bottles and grinned, knowing that she was about to get alcohol. She looked over when her Uncle Thomas asked her if she wanted a beer. She looked at the bottle and read the name "Miller Genuine Draft" and nodded her head. "Sounds good, Uncle Thomas," she said with a smile as she turned back to the food and picked up another container. She opened it and gazed inside before she grabbed a set of chopsticks and picked something out of it. She bit into it and paused for a moment before nodding and digging in.

Opening up the bottle of beer, he went back to the table, and set one of the bottles down in front of his niece with a smile. Taking a small drink of his, he sat down, and reached out for another container that was filled with the egg rolls. Grabbing a couple, he threw them onto his lemon chicken, and started opening up more containers.
“You know Elysia, I’ve been thinking,”[/b] he said as he slide some orange chicken into his little container. “You and Pete should move back into the mansion. It’s just not the same without you guys around here. And your aunt Helena misses you guys like crazy.”[/b]
Filling his mouth up with an egg roll, lemon and orange chicken mix, he looked at his niece to gage her reaction. Even though he didn’t say it, he knew that Elysia was more than aware that he missed them just as much, if not more, than his sister did. Elysia was like a daughter, niece, and baby sister all rolled into one to Thomas. And as much as he hated to admit it, Thomas was lonely, and being around his family helped lessen the pain and anger inside him.
“Think about it. I’ll even let you guys have the new guest house I built,”[/b] he said as he tried to entice her.

Elysia smiled and took the bottle after her Uncle Thomas set it down in front of her. She took a swig before digging back in to her Chinese food. She giggled at her uncle when he threw some random food onto his plate, mixing it around and creating an interesting concoction like he usually did when they ate foods. She then decided to do the same. She poured random foods from random Chinese take out containers and placed them onto her plate. She mixed it around and dug in. She grinned. She had no idea what it was, but she didn't really care. It all tasted heavenly. In this aspect, Elysia was very much like her Uncle Thomas when it came to her food choices. Their eating habits were very much similar when it came to the Wayne/Grayson/Todd family. Peter was very much like their Aunt Helena who liked her food separated when she ate.
When Thomas mentioned that he had been thinking, Elysia grinned. "That's never good," she teased before taking another swig of her beer. She stopped though when he said that he wanted her and Peter to move back in to the mansion. She blinked at him a moment before looking at him. She was studying him to see if he was serious because sometimes, more often than not, Elysia's Uncle Thomas enjoyed playing jokes. She then heard what he said about Helena missing them and she smiled at her Uncle. She knew damn well that he missed them too and couldn't help but smile since he wanted to push it onto his sister. She grinned a little. "OooOOoOOoo, the guest house?" She asked, teasing him. She actually had yet to see the guest house. Though, chances are if her Uncle Thomas built it, it looked fantastic. "I'll give it some thought and ask Pete about it," she told him honestly since, well, she missed her Uncle Thomas too.
