It has a nice name, but hidden secrets.
Trauma happens daily to teenagers. But what happens to the young adults taken from their home, or are runaways needing a place to live without cost? They're sent to Salvo Lei. A rehabilitation island. Where humans aren't the only ones who need help here.
This island is just off the coast of Florida. It is surrounded by a halo of docks and huts to live in, and the island itself has the rehabilitation center on it. If you rode your bike on the docks around the island, it's take around two hours to go around the whole thing.
But if you think about it - people aren't the only ones being abused. In this rehabilitation center, if your therapist finds you stable enough you will be given the choice to save a rescued dog. They're skittish, almost feral. But it's your job to take care of them and teach them not everyone should be feared.
Scientists have found the greatest bond between a human and animal is when they go through some sort of rehabilitation with each other.
