It was the year 2010, in two separate universe's, the heroes of Earth and beyond were facing their greatest perils. On one Earth, the evil and wicked had rose to power causing a time that would go down in the Avenger's records as The Dark Reign, so high was their ambition that they even put the sacred realm of Asgard to Siege. On the other Earth, the dead had returned from the grave, armed with their deadly Black Power Rings, it was truly Earth's Blackest Night.
But Earth, no matter what Universe is not so easily beaten, those who were built from virtue and valour stood together, digging deep into their wells of courage and fortitude to protect everything they cherished when all looked bleak. When fear and tyranny was at its mightiest, the unexpected happened. Earth's Heroes.....won. The wicked and cruel were beaten, the Siege collapsed, and the Blackest Night was followed by the Brightest Day.
Little did they realize just how much had been on the line. Greater powers then are ever meant to be understood were culling universe's that had grown stagnant, but these Earth's survived and endured, and when they crawled from the wreckage, they found new allies at their sides. Where once it there had been two worlds, now there was one. The Patriot met The Bat, The Man of Steel met The Thunder God, The Iron Knight met The Amazon. Alliances were forged, friends were made. They fought together, they saved the world together. The world knew a peace it hadn't know in years.
It truly was.....
The Heroic Age
That was 2010, this is 2040. The heroes are aging, some have retired, some have already passed on.....Evil doesn't pass on, its always there, waiting, plotting, seething with malicious intent. The peace is being disturbed....fear is coming back. But the world is not without saviours, for some heroes don't get older, some heroes are still keen and sharp, but there are new protectors, for some heroes of old, loved together, and now their children have adorned the mantle of hero.
Now it is their chance to save the world.....and new foes to the chance to make it burn!

Equivocal Provenance is a brand new Marvel/DC cross over next generation roleplay site, giving members the chance to play as the children of the canons of both Marvel and DC. Of course, there's nothing stopping you from playing the canons either, although some might be a bit old! The staff encourage members to forge their own plots and will help where ever possible!
