It was just past midnight in Metropolis. The streets were practically empty in comparison to the hustle and bustle experienced during the day. But the calm air was suddenly pierced by screeching tires. A getaway car came screeching around the corner, the driver driving frantically.
"Shit, what is the rider doing here?"
The passenger asked.
"I don't know, just shoot!"
The driver responded. The passenger leaned his head out the window and saw flames growing bigger. Behind the car the 'clop clop' of hooves could be heard as Ghostrider quickly began to catch up to the car. The car screeched around a corner before slamming into a parked car. Behind the Ghostrider the cops were coming, also chasing the fleeing car. When the get away car was stopped momentarily the passenger jumped out and sat there on his knees, his hands behind his head before the car took off again.
"Smart."
Was all the rider said in her deep and raspy yet still feminine voice. The thief nodded his head before one cop car screeched to a halt in front of him. Ghostrider picked up the pace, now chasing the fleeing car. She grabbed her rifle and fired. One back tire exploded in a ball of flame before the car slammed into a fire hydrant. The now injured driver climbed out and took off running, Ghostrider still behind. She grabbed her lasso and began to twirl it around her head as she chased the thief on horseback.

Dan-El hadn’t even been in this time for a month yet and was still trying to get use to this version of Metropolis. So he was out again, like he had been every night this past week, flying through the night skies of the city to familiarize himself with it. Had he wanted to, he could have used his super-speed to learn the city in a night, but he preferred to take his time. It’s not like he was going to be going anywhere anytime soon anyway.
He also realized that he still had to fully introduce himself to the rest of his teammates as well. When he showed him, he presented himself to Astra who immediately offered him to join the Titans. As a child growing up, he had always read about the Titans and admired the young heroes, so to be one of them was a great honor. He just wished he had more time to spend with them. Between university and getting everything prepared for his meeting with Conner, he didn’t have much time to spend at the Tower.
Tonight though, it seemed like he had a chance to fix that. First he had heard the alarm, then he heard the screeching of the tires from the car, and then he heard the sounds of a horse running. When he finally close enough to see what was going on, he couldn’t help but chuckle when one of the criminals got out of the car to surrender before his comrade.
Swooping down in a blur of blue and red, he landed in front of the criminal running away from Ghostrider. Looking back at his pursuer, he didn’t notice that there was now an obstacle before him, and ran into Dan-El with a thud.
“What’s wrong? She not your type? Yea sure she looks mean, but I mean with a flaming head like that you can have toasted marshmallows anytime you want,”[/b][/I] he said looking down at the thug with a grin.

The horse reared up when the criminal she was chasing slammed face first into Dan-El. She'd gotten word of a new member of the Titans but apparently he was more of an extended member so far. That wasn't a problem, the original Titans had hundreds of members all over the world and that helped. And ever since The Battle the Titans had been trying to rebuild their numbers. Sure they only had a few, all women oddly enough. So it was three women, and Superboy. Not too bad if he was playing his odds. She gave a very evil sounding laugh at his comment.
"I've never been one for smores."
She said with a very evil looking smirk. The criminal shook his shock off and got up with a gun. He fired two shots at Superboy before turning and firing two more. One at Ghostrider and one at her horse, Shadow. Of course all three weren't effected.
"Alright, now I'm pissed."
The fire on her head flared up higher. She threw the lasso and caught the criminal around the waist before pulling and throwing him into a trashcan.

He raised a brow and gave a look of fake disbelief to Ghostrider when she had mentioned that she wasn’t into S’mores. Ever since his mother had introduced them to him when he was a kid he had absolutely loved them and considered them his guilty pleasure.
“How can you not like S’mores? They are one of the best things on this planet,”[/b][/I] he said shaking his head.
Then the thug shot at him and Ghostrider. Obviously the thug was quite the fool and didn’t realize that he was shooting the son of Supergirl or the daughter of Ghostrider. It seemed that the villains of this time were just as stupid and foolish as they were in his time. And when Ghostrider’s head flared up, Danny knew that the thug was in for it.
When Melody threw the lasso around him, and tossed him into the trashcan. Dan-El couldn’t help but laugh at the thug’s luck.
“You know, they just get dumber and dumber everyday,”[/b][/I] he said as he looked to Ghostrider.

'I simply don't like smores. Too many conflicting textures. I like graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallows, just not together.'
She said with a shrug as she threw the unconscious criminal onto the sidewalk and to the awaiting police. She then turned towards Superboy and eyed him up and down.
'I was beginning to wonder when we'd meet.'
She said with her deep and raspy voice. She walked over to him and crossed her arms. She wasn't sure what she thought about the costume, a little odd. But who was she to judge? Her costume consisted of a tattered version of what she normally wore.
'Care to join me on patrol?'
She said before whistling. Shadow trotted over, snorting fire and rearing up. She then jumped up on his back and grabbed the reins. She hated to admit it but he was very cute. She already felt nervous about being near him but she was the elder Titan and had to show it.

He couldn’t help but grin when she offered him to join her on patrol. Metropolis was his city, or least it would be, and she was asking him to join her. But he really didn’t mind it, she was his teammate after all.
“Sure. Sounds like a plan,”[/b][/I] he said as he turned his grin into a bright smile. “It’d be good for me to get to know my teammate better anyway.”[/b][/I]
When she whistled for her demonic horse to join her, he looked over the creature, and raised a brow. He had heard about her and the curse she carried. The exact details of it however had been beyond him. Maybe this would give him the chance to find out.
“Nice ride. The whole flaming and demonic horse thing really goes with your look.”[/b][/i]

"Agreed."
She said in response to his comment about getting to know his team mate better. She couldn't help but keep staring at him, god he was cute. Of course she'd NEVER say that to anyone, except maybe Astra. She was really the only person she trusted. She nodded her head towards him at his comment about how the ride fit her look. If she had skin she'd be blushing right now.
"I never cared for motorcycles, now try and keep up."
The horse reared up before she took off down the street, leaving a trail of fire behind her. She knew he'd have no problem keeping up. She'd heard enough about the Supers and what not to know they could keep up with Shadow, even at full speed.

It didn’t take super sight to notice that Ghostrider kept staring at him. He knew it had been some years since anyone with the ‘Shield’ had been seen around Metropolis, let alone on Earth, but he couldn’t help but wonder if it was something else. Distrust maybe? Curiosity? Attraction?
“Honestly, I can’t see you on one either,”[/b][/I] he said before she rushed off on her horse.
Standing here, he looked at the flaming trail of hoof prints left behind her, and shook his head. Sure it was cool, but there was no cool sound effect to follow it. At least when it came to him, and any Kryptonian for that matter, there was a ‘whoosh’ sound.
It had been only a few moments and already she was an impressive distance away. Grinning to himself, he levitated into the air a couple feet, and flew after her. In the blink of an eye he was already beside the fellow Titan, his hands behind his head, and appearing completely relaxed.
“Impressive. Didn’t think your companion could move this fast. You feed him demon Wheaties for demon horses or something?”[/b][/i]
As he flew beside her, he couldn't help but wonder just what she looked like when her skull was flaming with demonic fire.

She rolled her eyes as he caught up. Or would've if she had eyes. Either way it wasn't the most impressive thing to do. As she rode her horse, still keeping up pace she reached behind her and produced her rifle, pointing it at Superboy's head, even though she didn't want to.
"Take this serious."
She said, staring at him. She then put the gun back on her back before getting the horse to speed up. They were headed straight towards Suicide Slum. She had some questions she needed to ask a few people. And those people would be in SUicide Slum or Crime Alley.

He couldn’t help but raise a brow when she pointed her rifle at him. Obviously she didn’t really know just what he was capable of nor was she any good a bluffing. He was her teammate. A Titan. She wasn’t going to shoot him at all, although if she tried he’d have the weapon in a million tiny pieces before she even moved the trigger a millimeter.
“You know, you should really lighten up,”[/b][/I] he commented as she put her rifle away. “Pointing rifles at teammates isn’t exactly the best way to inspire them to trust you. And pointing one at me is just plain foolish.”[/b][/I]
He let out a small laugh as he flew up and over her to the other side of her horse. Looking around them he noticed that they were heading towards Suicide Slum. It was Metropolis’ rough neighbourhood. The one blight of the majestic city, it was a spot he knew he would probably spend a lot of time in during his duty of cleaning up the city.

"I don't do light."
She knew she couldn't either, especially as GHost Rider. She was the Spirit of Vengeance, the defender of the innocents. She needed to go hard for their sake. Her father had and now she would to.
"Then you clearly don't know what my rifle is capable of."
She said and would've smirked if she had lips. She rode hard, soon crossing the border into Suicide Slum. Instantly things had a weird feeling.
"They're close, I can feel their evil."
She stopped and turned to Superboy. But soon a grenade landed between and she sighed, shaking her head before it detonated.

“Don’t do light? Ha. You’re like a perma nightlight there Ghostrider. In case you didn’t notice but you have a flaming skull for a head,”[/b][/I] he said in response to her comment.
He chose to ignore her comment about not knowing what the rifle could do. It wasn’t worth his time, nor was it a good idea to agitate his teammate further when she was clearly a little unstable as is.
When Ghostrider stopped riding, Dan-El followed suit, and stood beside her. Even though he wouldn’t admit, well at least not at the moment, the fact that she was able to sense the evil near them was pretty cool.
Then the grenade went off between them. The only thing that Dan could surmise was that people had forgotten all about the ‘S Shield’ and just what it meant when one wearing it showed up. Had they known, they wouldn’t have bothered throwing a grenade. Of course it was entirely possible that they were just stupid as throwing a grenade at person with a flaming skull, riding atop a flaming skeletal steed is clearly pretty damn stupid.
“Okay. Really. Just how stupid are the criminals in this city? Is Metropolis only filled with criminals who rode the short bus as kid?”[/b][/i]

When the smoke cleared the two of them still stood there. The only damage seeming to be some of Ghost Rider's clothes were torn up now. Well, actually MORE torn than before which was still pretty un-noticeable.
"Clearly."
She began to scan the areas, trying to figure out where it came from. She drew her rifle and fired. The window the two men were in suddenly exploded outward with fire.
"I told you not to underestimate my rifle."
She said with what would have been a smirk.
"Alright, you have the fancy vision, what else we got around us?"
She asked almost as if she hadn't just englufed two men in a fireball. Naturally they'd be fine physically. But on a spiritual level they'd be extremely shaken up. since the fire she chose burns on the soul level.

“Not bad, but I’ve seen better,”[/b][/I] he said with a chuckle as he turned his gaze on her. “Besides, the whole fire thing is way overplayed. You really wanna surprise them then have the thing shoot rainbows or Lucky Charms.”[/b][/I]
At her suggestion, he used his X-Ray Vision to look through the buildings around them. From the buildings and the alleyways he could see the men and women running away from them. All he could figure was that they had seen what had just happened and wanted no part of the Titan duo. Not that he could really blame them, he’d run too if he was then. This would make things difficult for Ghostrider though to find the guy she was looking for.
“Well I’ve got good news and bad news,”[/b][/I] he said as he folded his arms across his chest. “Good news is, we have them running scared. Bad news is, we have them running scared so it will be hard finding who you’re looking for. So any suggestions?”[/b][/I]

"The fire burns on the soul level. Physically they'll be fine but they'll still be in immense pain. So remember that, because even you have a soul."
She said before looking around as he did. He was a smartass, something the Titans didn't really have just yet. Sure Elysia kind of was, but she wasn't a real Titan, well not in her eyes. But then again Melody could sense the evil coming off her and didn't like it. But Astra had been so certain that she should join that Melody didn't say anything. She listened as they ran and nodded her head when he asked if she had any ideas. She took off on Shadow towards where one big group was. She got to one end of the alley and summoned hellfire at the other end to trap them.
"I'm looking for a man known as The Snake. Send him forward and the rest may go."
She had no idea where this side of her was coming from but she kind of liked it.
