Personality: Mark is a kind man who does what he can to help others, but he isn’t afraid to do what he has to in order to protect the public. While he hasn’t come across drastic decisions in public, he has shown in simulations that he is willing to sacrifice one to save many. While this trait has been a drawback on his advancement through the ranks of the Avengers, it has saved hundreds, if not thousands of lives.
In battle, he is fierce and calculating. He will dance around his enemy and find their weakness and exploit it. While it looks like he’s using all his energy to do this, he’s really doing a minimal amount of work, rolling and hopping on his metal boots to keep from using his body’s energy.
Weaknesses: Out of armor: Below freezing temperatures. Such cold temperatures causes the metal in his veins to slow and become less fluid. If the cold temperature is sustained, or if the temperature becomes any lower, his armor will solidify in his body. At first, he’ll only go into a coma until the metal is returned to liquid form, or he will slowly die.
In and out of armor: Electricity: The metal in his body conducts electricity much better than in normal humans and can cause paralysis or even death depending on how strong it is.
Powers:[/b] He has liquid metal running through his veins that he can manipulate to his will. He uses it mostly as armor for himself, though he has shown the ability to give armor to others. But the more he spreads his armor out among several people, the thinner and weaker it becomes if it covers their whole body. When he’s covering himself, his armor can become strong enough to deflect some of the world’s strongest weaponry and still keep him from harm.
He also has the ability to turn the liquid into weapons, such as blades and throwing knives, though he can’t create guns or anything explosive, only close quarters weapons. He can also use his metal to give himself wheels like roller blades.
His armor can also compact to give him incredible strength to the point where he can lift 7 tons over his head.
Abilities: He is an incredible marksman and can hit even a small target from several hundred yards with one of his knives and a little helpful strength boost from his armor.
Weapons: Only those he makes from his armor.
History: Cessily Kincaid has lived long with the Xmen and after many years of training, she finally found a way to color her metal skin to give her a human appearance. She used this newfound ability to blend in with the crowd. Eventually, she moved out of the mansion, becoming a stand by Xman. She began a new life in the city, getting a job, an apartment, even falling in love with a man who loved her even when he learned her secret. They soon married, Cessily discovering soon after that she was pregnant.
When Mark was five years old, the fighting began. Cessily had to leave her family so she could fight to defend them. The battle was long and difficult. Eventually, she was killed by a mutant with ice abilities. He froze her solid and shattered her into millions of pieces. As the battle raged around her destroyed form, the pieces of her body were scattered and lost.
Growing up, Mark was told all about his mother and her heroic battle to protect them. He knew he wanted to be just like her when he grew up, a hero who fought to protect his family. But inevitably, he began to feel resentment for the way his mother just left them to fight. He started to feel that she could have stayed with them and protected them just as easily.
When he was 12, his powers started to surface. He was in school and his skin started to feel like it was on fire. He fell out of his chair, curled up on the floor and writing in pain as his skin started to turn silver. While the teachers and students gathered around, trying to figure out what to do, the silver color broke through his skin, seeping out through every pore and covering his body. But a few moments later, the metal exploded outward, filling the room and shoving everybody out through the doors and windows. With a massive effort, he managed to draw it all back in, got up, and ran home out of fear for what people might think of him.
Once home, Mark’s father calmed his son down and convinced him that he should go to Xavier’s so he could master his abilities. Mark agreed and went to the school, where he grew up among the people his mother once fought beside. But this didn’t change his feelings one way or the other. He still resented his mother for leaving them and promised himself that if he ever had a family, he would stay with them no matter what. When he finally managed to gain perfect control of his powers at 17, he left the school, not wanting to stay at the place where he was constantly reminded of his mother’s sacrifice.
With no other idea of where to go, he went to the Avengers and began the process of becoming a member of the team. A year later, he is now a member of the team, working his way up the chain of command.
