Needle in a Haystack (Rain/Open)

The sahara desert. 3.3 million square miles of sand upon sand, seemingly never ending. It was the largest desert on the planet, and right now, the crash site of a Shi'ar vessel. However, there were a lot of mysteries and circumstances surrounding this crash. Yes, it was a Shi'ar vessel, but the distress signal he had picked up did not match the ring's incredibly vast records, which meant some modification by an unknown race. Next, was that in amongst the bodies of Shi'ar, were indeed corpses of an unknown species.

Finally, was what had been picked up on by one Rain T'Challa, and confirmed by him. What had walked away from this crash site and lived, was a creature belonging to a race known as the Brood. To say this was a problem was like saying the A-bomb was a pretty big explosive. The thing had scurried away somewhere, and now he had to search for it because it could spread its infection. Thankfully, he had help on the matter. First, was Rain herself, the woman he had met and entangled in the whole affair. Then, there was the Wakandan army. They'd informed the neighbouring countries of the potential threat, and were granted a likely once in a lifetime chance to freely enter those territories, to hunt down this threat.

And hopefully, there would be others. Jonny had used the communicator Nightwing had given him to contact the Avengers, hoping they weren't too busy elsewhere. No response so far. But still, he waited. He sat on one of the few pieces of metal he hadn't already dug up and transported to Wakanda's border, creating a large Green Lantern symbol above his head that marked his location, even from several thousand feet up.

[Rain T'Challa]

Rain along with her mother were trying to organize search parties to find the missing occupant of the vessel that had crashed closed to Wakanda's borders. All Wakanda was on alert to avoid any strangers, and report if any are sighted. With Wakanda's age old policy of isolation many looked down on strangers and stayed away from them anyways. Ororo was on edge, those who knew her best could see how tense she was. Rain could not blame her mother since she had a long history with the Brood. At one point Storm almost became one and only barely escaped with her life. Several times since then the Ororo had come face to face with the Brood and had Tobe careful each time that the Brood did not try to implant her with another egg.

Rain also sent out a signal to all she knew to help search for the missing Brood. Green Lantern had made a giant symbol in the sky to help fellow heroes locate the meeting spot. "Princess! There is a possible sighting near the great mound!" T'Baki called out.

"Alert the others, evacuate the area. We do not want anyone untrained near the intruder. Keep your men a good distance away also," Rain told him she took to the sky and zoomed to the Great Mound. It was were Wakanda mined Viabranium before Dr. Doom destroyed it all. Rain made it to the location in no time. Where she saw that the army had already surrounded the possible Brood.

"Identity conformed Princess, she is one of ours that had wondered a little to far and fell in some mud," one of the solider told her. Rain nodded and took out her communicator.

"False sighting. Everyone keep looking," Rain told them. She saw the young child herself and confirmed that it was indeed a false alarm. The child was well known to the members of the place, she was constantly wondering off and her mother worked in the place. Rain took back to the air trying to spot the intruder from the sky.

[Ezio 'Wolverine' Logan]

Ezio received earlier a transmission about needing help over in Africa to search for something called..the brood. Not fully knowing what it was he questioned in his head what it was while walking to the J-wing. Before He entered the plane one of the students haulted him and gave him his New-X outfit to ware. He looked at it with a brow lifted; looking back at the student she simply smiled and ran off. He shook his head a bit going into the jet getting changed real quick before going off. Once off the ground he looked kinda edgy. Balling up his fists he put them on his forehead trying to think about something else besides the flight. He really didn't like flying kinda getting an unease feeling about it. "Dammit, why couldn't it be the J-boat or something" he said closing his eyes. He then felt the plan jerk, putting his head back on his hands. The jet was making a descent into Africa, as it did Ezio grabbed the seat feeling the jet rumble. As it landed Ezio quickly unbuckled himself shaking his head as he left the plane.

"I freaking hate flying" he said as he hunched over placing his hands on his knees for a moment. Getting back up and blowing out he pulled on the collar of the suit, showing it bothered him. He cracked his neck a little walking into the baking sun. He then started to sniff around for Rain putting his hand over his forehead to look for her. "Rain!?" he yelled out looking left to right, "Wonder where is.."he continued sniffing when he looked up and saw someone flying above.

[Deandra]

Deandra had received the Avengers alert. She had been in the middle of another situation and ended it before she could respond to a new one. Once she was free she was able to respond to the distress call. She was able to locate the location of where the distress signal had originated. She hopped into her invisible jet and made her way to the Sahara Dessert and landed by the Green Lantern signal. Her landing caused a little dust to be kicked up and a little wind as she cut the engine.

Deandra landed softly next to her plane. "I got the distress signal. What is the situation?" Deandra asked walking up to Green Lantern. She knew they were close to Wakanda and wondered if Rain or Queen Ororo had been alerted to the situation .

[Rain T'Challa]

Rain did not spot the intruder but she did spot help. She flew over to see Ezio there and shortly after Deandra joined him after landing her invisible jet. "M'Tali please update my friends on the problem," Rain flew quickly by scanning the area and saw that Ezio had also come by plane. "Also make sure they secure their planes. Last thing we need is the Brood escaping even farther away," Rain instructed.

Rain continued flying over looking for anything out of the obvious when she spotted some highly agitated black panthers by the scared heart herb. "The scared panthers are agitated! Everyone keep alert, mom meet me near their home," Rain instructed. The panthers guarded the sacred heart heart herb that had given many black panthers abilities beyond a normal human. It also helped the black panther come before the panther god Bast. Rain knew instantly something was wrong by how they were acting. Rain received conformation that her mother was coming as M'Tali went to greet Ezio and Deandra. Rain pushed her powers to quickly get to where the scared panthers where. The knowledge about the heart herb and panthers was a guarded secret and not even all Wakanadians knew much about them.

[Ezio 'Wolverine' Logan]

Ezio looked at a person approaching him to tell him to secure the plane to make sure the brood doesn't get in. He then radio the plane pilot to close the hatch and make sure to be careful. He turned around to make sure nothing got in the plane as the hatched closed. Ezio then turned back around to look at the person in front of him. "Alright so where's Rain, she needs my help right?" he stated. The person nodded to him and pointed in the general direction of were Rain is. Ezio nodded to the person and headed to Rains position. He ran through the desert, feeling the sand and heat hit him. He sniffed around and listened closely to the environment to know exactly where Rain was. Catching her scent he started to run and noticed something dashing off in the air at quick speeds. "Rain wait you don't..dammit" he said dashing off.

Ezio pulled out his claws just in case if anything was going to suprise him along the way there. Cutting through the sand and wind he kept up with Rain while she rushed. "Dammit..Rain!" he yelled out to stop her and make sure she wouldn't head in to something that would harm her. Ezio himself didn't want any harm coming to her, he just hoped that she knew what she was doing.
