“I’m not saying you’re not up to par,”[/b] Thomas corrected. “What I’m saying is that you don’t have the mind that Ted Kord did, nor do you have the same luxuries that he did. I know you’re bright Marcus, perhaps too bright for your own good at times.”[/b]
Walking up behind Marcus, he placed his hand on his shoulder. He realized he was being a little hard on the guy, but they were in a hard business. When one was a hero they had to be prepared. That was the biggest lesson his father had taught him, be prepared. Being prepared had saved his father’s and brother’s lives on more than one occasion.
“And for the record. You’re not good enough to get away with borrowing my equipment,”[/b] he said with a chuckle before patting his shoulder. Placing his hand into his pocket, he looked at the map of the city, and raised a brow. “Something else you trying to show me?”[/b]

"Amazing how I never got that in school." Billy said with a smirk as he continued his work with only just a glance at Thomas. He began typing and homing in on certain parts of the city.
Billy couldn't help but laugh at Thomas quipping about the equipment, "My god, is it possible that Batman; the scourage of the Gotham Underbelly just cracked a joke?" He asked with a chuckle of his own.
Billy snapped his fingers as red surrounded a building that was shown on the computer as the Museum of International History and a shot of a group of multi-colored stripped men appeared. "Yeah, figured since I had a taste of your local pallet, I'd give you a taste of mine. Say hello to the Mad-knick Men, I'm sure you've heard of them but regardless these guys are Ted's Rogue's that have somehow had kids making me the only people allowed to stop them....Wanna have some fun?"

Once the computer had zeroed in on the are on the map, Thomas knew that it was the Museum of International History. Thomas also realized that the computer show Marcus’ way of keeping track of where crime in his city was taking place. It seemed that Marcus had tapped into the security system of every major building in the city. It was a very smart idea. Thomas’ own father had done it himself years ago.
So by the time Marcus had made the offer for him to join him, Thomas was already on the lift back up to Marcus’ office. “You go ahead. I’ll be right behind you. Just need to grab some things from the car first,”[/b] he said with a nod.
Let's see how this kid handles himself on his own turf.[/i]
