A light sigh escaped Elysia Todd's lips as she sat down in front of the large television in the rec room in Titan Tower. Last time she was near this room she had gotten into a nice argument with Astra and a mysterious crazy man named Deadpool. He was interesting, of course, she figured most crazy people were interesting. Elysia and her twin brother Peter were both crazy and so were their parents and older brother JJ before they all died. It used to hurt a lot for Elysia to talk, or even think, about her parents and older brother dying, but over the years she had accepted it. It was something that she couldn't control and that she could deal with, obviously. She didn't care as much as she used to, of course, that was before you bad mouthed her parents or anyone else whom she loved and cared for. Whether it was her mom, dad, brothers, team mates, or best friends, you were going to get fucked up if Elysia ever got her hands on you.
After a moment, Elysia shook her head and picked up the remote in front of her off of the glass coffee table. A happy sigh escaped her lips as she leaned back against the couch and rested against the arm. She was dressed in a pair of Daniel Kent's sweat pants and a tight tank top. She was comfortable and ready for some TV. She turned on the TV and flipped through the channels to see what was on. Sadly, there wasn't too much and Elysia settled on the movie 300, which had been made in the early 2000s. It was one of Elysia's favorite movies to be honest. She loved the idea that 300 Spartans attempted to take down an entire Persian army to defend their homeland and those that they loved. Elysia wouldn't mind ever doing that at all and she was so in to one of the fight scenes that she hadn't heard someone enter the room... |

He hadn’t spent much time at the Tower, but today was a day that he had no classes and Metropolis seemed rather quiet. So there he was hanging around the Tower and getting to know the place and he to admit that he was impressed with it. He was going to try out the gym, but he didn’t have a chance thanks to his sweat pants missing from his dorm room in the Tower. So Danny threw on a pair of darkwash jeans and a black button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows.
Since the gym option was out, the young Kryptonian opted for another option and headed to the rec room so that he could chill out for a bit. He knew the room had a billiards table and decided a game of pool would be rather relaxing. When he walked into the massive room, he was surprised to find that someone was already there. As far as he knew, he was the only Titan in at the moment, but at least now he had some company.
Stopping beside the couch, he crossed his arms, and started mouthing the words that Gerard Butler’s character was sprouting off. Since he had come to this time, he was quick to watch all the acclaimed action movies from this time so that he wouldn’t come off as a recluse if he didn’t catch the odd reference, and of the movies 300 was certainly one of his favourite.
Out of the corner of his eye he noticed that it was Elysia sitting on the couch and grinned. Of all the Titans, he had to admit that he had a small crush on the blonde. When he learned that she was Thomas’ niece however, he knew that she was off limits.
“You know I never did understand why they had to throw a sex scene in this thing. It’s pointless and makes no sense at all,”[/b] he said when the scene popped up on the screen.

Elysia continued to watch the movie. It was such a fantastic movie, especially since the acting was superb and the action was just enough over the top to make it dramatic and bad ass without ruining the movie. Zack Snyder was a genius as was Frank Miller. Now that Elysia thought about it, while the sex scene came up, she had Frank Miller's comic book 300. She loved the way it was drawn and the way he had done it. He was such a creative man. A very creative man, kind of like her brother, Jason Junior. Memories began to flood Elysia's head as she thought about her older brother who had been murdered by that...mad man while all of the other Todd's were out doing what they do. Elysia was glad that her parents got revenge on that bastard...but she was also sad, and angry, with them for dying. Yes, Elysia was angry with them for dying. If her father hadn't made his stupid mistake they'd still be alive.
Elysia jumped when she heard someone speak to her and turned to see who had spoken. She breathed a sigh of relief and fell back against the couch once more. "Dammit, Daniel, you're going to give me a heart attack one day," she said, shaking her head and running a hand through her blonde and black locks. She sighed, glad that someone had pulled her out of her memories before she leaned forward as the sex scene ended and paused the movie. She looked over at Daniel. "Care to join me or stand there like a creep?" She teased, patting the spot on the couch next to her before grabbing her soda from off of the table. She sipped at her usual grape soda and smiled at him. |

He let out a small laugh when Elysia had asked him to join her. He had to admit that sitting around with Elysia was a lot better than standing around like a creep. Walking over to the front of the couch, he sat down where Elysia had patted, and leaned back against the couch. Looking over at Elysia he smiled and then he noticed it. Elysia had been the one who had stolen his sweat pants.
I can’t believe she stole them! What happened to asking to borrow stuff? Although, she does look better in them than I do, a lot better.[/I]
“I see you decided to help yourself to my clothes,”[/b] he said with a chuckle as he nodded towards his sweat pants. “You know I searched all over the dormitories looking for those. I figured that either the dryer ate them or I left them at the Fortress. All you had to do was ask if you needed a pair.”[/b]
He flashed her a playful wink before his body turned into a blur for a moment only to resolidify a second later with him hold a can of orange soda and a bag of chips.
“Can’t have a movie without snacks,”[/b] he said with a smile.

Elysia smiled when she heard Daniel laugh. She had always sort of liked his laugh. It always made her smile, though she wasn't sure why. After a moment, Daniel spoke and Elysia looked over at him. She raised an eyebrow before she looked down and giggled. "Yeah, well, what can I say? They're comfortable," she said before hearing him speak once more. She blinked at him innocently. "Why would you look for them? They're right here," she said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. She giggled again when he said that he thought the dryer had eaten them or that he had left them at the Fortress. She shrugged her shoulders casually. "Yeah, well, what can I say? I'm a thief, I steal things," she told him, grinning slyly.
Elysia had purposefully ignored his playful wink before she watched as he blurred out and then returned within seconds. Her head tilted to the side a moment before chuckled and shook her head. She nodded and then took the bag from him before she opened it and dug in. She nodded her head in agreement once more. "Yup! Can't have a movie without snacks," she teased, grinning at him before winking. She leaned forward and pressed "Play" on the remote before the movie started up once again. Elysia leaned back against the couch and munched happily upon the chips that Daniel had so graciously zoomed off and gotten for...him. Elysia grinned a little more and watched as the movie progressed. She grinned a bit and grabbed her grape soda before sipping at it. She then offered the bag to Daniel, knowing he would probably want some chips as well, after all, he had gotten the bag. |

“Of course they’re comfortable. That’s why I bought them,”[/b] he said with a smirk. “And I noticed the whole thieving thing. You know you’re quite good at it, well were up until you got caught. Until now you almost had a dryer take the blame for your dirty work.”[/b]
He laughed lightly when she swiped the bag of chips from him. Again Elysia was living up to her role as a thief. He really didn’t mind though, mostly because he thought that she was really attractive. It wasn’t exactly the best reason to let someone get away with stealing, but she was a teammate too after all.
Opening up his orange soda, he took a sip before setting it down on a coaster. Sitting back as Elysia resumed the movie. Danny placed his arms along the back of the couch and relaxed. When Elysia was nice enough to offer him the chips, he shook his head.
“No thanks. I actually got those for you. I’m not a huge chip guy. I prefer some baby carrots with ranch dip for snacks,”[/b] he said with a smile. “So is the Tower always this quiet?”[/b]

Elysia gazed over at Daniel and giggled as he spoke, shaking her head. "Well then, you are awesome at picking out sweatpants. Props to you," she said before he mentioned her thieving. She smiled proudly. Elysia was always very proud that she got the thievery genes from her father, though she knew her mother would probably frown upon it. She didn't care. "Oh, but of course, I am the masta!" She exclaimed happily, striking a pose which made her stand up. She was glad nothing was in her lap because it would have fallen onto the floor. She blinked a little before giggling and sitting back down onto the couch. "And as being part of a master thief, I need to make sure inanimate objects are blamed for my wrong doings," she said with another giggle as she looked over at Daniel before swiping his chips from him. She smiled when she heard him chuckle before she ate at the chips and looked at the screen.
When she offered him chips and he responded, she blinked a moment. He got the chips for her? He didn't have to do that. She grew confused. Maybe he was just a nice guy like that... Elysia shook her head somewhat. "Yeah, usually the Tower is pretty calm and quiet until an alarm goes off and then we must all leap in to action to save a kitten from a tree," she said sarcastically, rolling her eyes somewhat. "Don't tell Astra I said that. She'll melt my brain using her powers or something sick and twisted like that," she said, chuckling somewhat before she sighed and leaned back against the couch once more, focusing on the movie before she put the chips back in her lap and continued to munch. |

“Well coming from you, I’ll take that as a big compliment,”[/b] he said as he nodded his politely.
When she stood up, his eyes looked her over, and for a moment, a very long moment at that, he thought about using his x-ray vision on her to see just what she had on underneath his sweat pants. Naturally he decided against it as it wasn’t the right thing to do, but he was certainly beyond tempted to do it. Luckily for her his parents raised him right.
“Hey you joke, but my first gig as a hero in my time was actually saving a cat from a tree for my neighbours daughter. They had just gotten a new dog for the farm and it chased the cat up one of the trees on their property. Thing was up there for six hours before I showed up and got her down,”[/b] he said with a grin before taking a drink of his soda. “Come to think of it, most of my gigs back in my time were pretty simple stuff.”[/b]
When Elysia started talking about Astra, Dan-El couldn’t help but raise a brow. He had only talked with Astra three times since coming to this time and each time things between them seemed to go well. She certainly wasn’t one who seemed to come off as one who would abuse her position or powers, but then again he could always be wrong as well.
“I’m guessing Astra is a pretty strict, no nonsense kinda leader huh?”[/b]

Elysia smiled at him and blushed very lightly when he said that since it was coming from her, he would take it as a big compliment. She brushed it off before he spoke once more. She giggled when he spoke that his first gig as a hero was saving a cat from a tree. Elysia shook her head a bit, sighing. "My first gig as a hero was our first Titans team assignment together. Which was...wow, I don't even remember...which is pretty sad. I know that I was Red X, though, waaaaay before I was a part of this team. I was a thief...with my brother. We were brilliant...though the world was pretty much shocked when we became heroes," she said, shrugging her shoulders like her being a criminal was no big deal. It really wasn't in her eyes. To her, it was whatever. Her father and mother had practically been the same way when she was a baby. Elysia was just the reverse of her father, starting off with criminal activity and ending with being a hero...and she was just as insane.
Elysia heard what Daniel said about Astra and sighed. "You could say that...the two of us have never really...seen eye to eye," she said as she looked over at him. She smiled a little softly. Elysia figured it was probably because of her parents and her history with being a thief, but then again, Astra had never hated Peter...and Peter was more of an ass hat than Elysia was. Of course, Peter and Elysia didn't really live in the Tower. Sure, they had their own rooms, but that didn't mean that they lived here. They had their own apartment, and Elysia loved it. She loved being around her twin almost constantly, except for when he had fun with lady friends on her bed. That was always something she could live without, but then again, it's not like it happened all that often. |

“Thief’s huh? I never would have guessed,”[/b] he said with a look of fake shock. “It’s good that you and Peter have changed your ways though. I’m glad you’re on this side of the fence. I would hate to have had to arrest you,”[/b] he added with a smile.
It was obvious from the sigh that had escaped her lips that Elysia was probably being nice when she had said that her and Astra didn’t see eye to eye. It wasn’t uncommon for there to be disagreements within teams before and if Elysia was once a world known thief he could understand the weariness, but from what he had seen of everything she had done since joining the Titans she had more than proven that she was a hero and an invaluable asset to the team.
“Well I’m sure she’ll come around,”[/b] he said genuinely. “Say I have an idea. Why don’t we order some pizza up in this place and watch action movies all day?”[/b]

Elysia stifled her laugh and nodded at his look of fake shock. "I know, right? Me? A thief? How crazy!" She exclaimed playfully before he said that it was a good thing that her and Peter changed their ways. She giggled when he said that he would have hated to arrest her. "Oh please, you know you want me in handcuffs, Dan," she said with a playful wink before she giggled at him. Yes, she was flirting with Daniel, but then again, Elysia was always flirting with Daniel. He was the only person in the Tower...hell, in the world who Elysia was currently flirting with. Back in the day, Elysia was sort of a flirtatious spirit and generally flirted with everyone, but she had toned down since then and had now made sure that she wasn't the kind of girl that would be tempted to cheat on her man...if she ever had a man, of course.
When Superboy said that he was sure that Astra would come around, Elysia snorted a little, unconvinced. She shook her head. "Thanks, but I don't know about that, Danster...something tells me that probably won't happen," she said as she ran one of her hands through her long blonde hair, ruffling it a bit before he said he had an idea. She looked up at him as he suggested ordering pizza and watching action movies all day. Elysia's eyes lit up and she looked around before finding an unopened Ring Pop on the table that she had been saving. She opened it and knelt down in front of him. "Marry me, Daniel?" She asked, grinning up at him. Elysia was always happy and did stupid things like this when she was around Daniel...and her twin, Peter, of course, but this was something she had never done. |

Daniel couldn’t help but burst into laughter when Elysia grabbed the Ring Pop and got down on a knee. Shaking his head, he reached out, and took the ring from Elysia. Looking it over in his hand, he put on a look of fake disappointment.
“I don’t know Elysia. For starters, this ring is not going to match my costume at all. It’s grape and I wear red and blue. You couldn’t find blueberry, cherry, or strawberry at all?”[/b] He stated with a grin. “Since this is you however, I suppose I can accept this. For now.”[/b]
Flashing her a quick wink and a playful smile, he slides the candy ring onto his finger, and holds out his hand to model it for Elysia. Standing up off the couch, he starts to strut around the rec room as he pretends to be a self absorbed model. Stopping at the end of the room, he turns to face Elysia, and gives her his best ‘Blue Steel’ look from the movie Zoolander before he takes off the ring. Laughing at himself he returns to the couch and leans over the back.
“So I’m guessing you’re up for that pizza huh?”[/b] He asked as he held out the candy to her.

Elysia pouted cutely when Daniel burst into laughter when she grabbed the Ring Pop and asked him to marry her. When he complained about the ring's colors, Elysia rolled her eyes. "Well I'm sorry I didn't plan this out, my precious darling, but it was spontaneous! It shows how much I love you!" She exclaimed dramatically before giggling when he said that he supposed he could accept it. "Good! Cause that cost me a lot of money! Lots of working the streets and spinning around on poles! Late nights, Danny, late, late nights," she said, grinning as she joked with him. When he winked, she shook her head and giggled at him some more, trying to force down the blush that made it's way to her cheeks.
Elysia watched as he slid the ring onto his finger and began to strut around like a model. She burst into a fit of giggles as she wrapped her arms around her stomach and twitched on the couch. She almost lost it when he gave her his Blue Steel face. When she heard him laugh, a light sigh escaped Elysia's lips as he handed the candy ring back to her from over the back of the couch. She looked up at him and nodded, giggling still. "Yes, please. Preferably pepperoni pizza, but I'll take what I can get," she said with a smile before she rolled off of the couch with ease and bounced up, setting the ring pop down on the table, on it's wrapper before she rolled up the bag of chips and skipped into the kitchen to put the chips away. |

He didn’t know why, but there was something about his fellow Titan that Daniel just found irresistible, especially since she wasn’t the type of girl that he was known to go for. As odd as it was, Daniel preferred country girls who weren’t afraid to get their hands dirty on the farm. A girl who preferred a pair of Jeans and a t-shirt and her favourite means of transportation was by horse. From what he had know of Elysia, she wasn’t any of that, but it didn’t matter to him. He was comfortable around her and was able to be crazy, spontaneous, random, and cooky.
Even so much that when Elysia tried to skip past him, he grabbed her hand, and spun her toward him. Hold her close him, he looked down into her eyes, and smiled. “I suppose I can deal with Pepperoni.”[/b]
As he stood there smiling at her, he found himself very reluctant in wanting to let her go, but he did anyway. He got the feeling that if he held onto her any longer than needed that she’d probably steal his wallet without him realizing it and order the pizza without him.
