Advice [-JJ/Nightwing-]

[Elysia "Red X" Todd]

After her encounter with Deadpool at Titans Tower and her little argument with Astra, Elysia had used her Red X belt to teleport to the one place where she knew she could go. She stood outside The Nest, the club that her cousin JJ owned. She looked up at the glowing sign before she gazed inside a moment at the dancing bodies, pumping music, and intricate lighting. She watched as people got alcohol and muttered darkly seeing as she was only nineteen and couldn't legally get any booze. She sighed heavily and pulled her cell phone from her skirt pocket. She could only hope that JJ wasn't in the middle of something. She needed to speak with her older cousin, vent about what had just happened. How could Astra even have Elysia be a Teen Titan if she didn't trust her? It didn't make any sense at all. Of course, most would probably be wondering why Elysia would be running to her cousin? Because he was the only one besides her twin Peter that knew about her being Red X. Otherwise, she would run to her Uncle Thomas.

After a moment, Elysia flipped open her phone and quickly pressed "3" on her cell phone to speed dial her cousin. She sighed heavily and waited for him to pick up the phone. He hoped he picked up soon because, well, the sidewalk was extremely crowded and it was raining outside. A scowl formed on Elysia's face as a car drove by and splashed her back with muddy water. "Perfect," Elysia muttered darkly, unable to help herself. She waited rather impatiently for JJ to answer. She sighed and heard his voice. "JJ!" She exclaimed into her phone before hearing people talk about the crazy chick covered in muddy water screaming into her cell phone. Not that Elysia really cared what any of them thought. They had know idea who she was after all.

JJ was enjoying his night off. Sadly it wasn't Davina's so he'd have to enjoy some solo time and work. He hated his nights off but knew it was neccesary to keep people from going insane. Not to mention it was actually HIS idea to have one night off a week for everyone. This week his and Dav's just didn't coincide, sadly. So he was in his office going over financial reports of both the Nest and Wayne Enterprises. The attack by the two unknown people was actually helping him. Their stock score was soaring right now, he loved it. He heard his phone ring and sighed glancing at it. Normally he'd ignore it but saw it was Elysia and quickly answered.

"Elysia, what's wrong where are you?"

He knew she only called him if there was something wrong, sadly. He listened to what she had to say and quickly stood up.

"Just stay there I'll be right there."

He hung up and quickly went through the crowd to the front. He motioned for Elysia to come and smiled. He took her by the hand and quickly began to lead her to his office. Once inside he closed the door and looked at her, sighing.

"Ok we need to get you to dry clothes. Are any of your gadgets damaged?"

He asked knowing that she was smart and usually had something on her.

Elysia heard her cousin as what was wrong and where she was. His voice sounded frantic but usually anytime she called he was frantic. She knew that he worried like hell about her, just like her uncle, aunt, and brother. "I had a fight with Astra... I'm outside The Nest. I'm not being let in," she told him calmly before she heard him tell her to stay there and that he'd be there in a moment. Before she even had time to reply, he hung up. She sighed and put her cell phone into her pocket inside of her jacket and sighed, waiting for her cousin to appear so he could take her inside and talk with her. Perhaps calm her down before she beat the crap out of the prissy young women who were just dying to meet JJ Grayson. Yeah...dying in their pants, she thought bitterly before she saw her cousin appear.

Elysia walked up to her cousin, smiling back at him before he took her hand and led her into his office. He closed the door and Elysia heard his sigh as he looked at her. Elysia blinked a moment and pulled up her shirt, revealing her belt which was dry thanks to a special spray that her father had come up with literally keeping the belt waterproof. She sighed. "No, nothing damaged." She paused. "Do you have any extra clothes I could wear?" She asked, looking at her cousin almost like a lost puppy in the rain...literally in the rain. She was almost soaked to the bone and if it wasn't for the fact that her jacket had a waterproof lining so her cell phone wasn't wet or damaged.

"Of course I do, c'mon."

He said before leading her to the secret elevator. He wanted to get her comfortable and dry before he got her to spill her guts. And of course he knew he could get her to do it, it wasn't that hard. They had an interesting bond, even if she hadn't seen his Nest yet. Although soon enough she probably would. If Davina was going to see it why not her?

"And it's good your belt isn't damaged. That kind of tech is tricky even for me."

He said nodding his head. He'd worked on making something like it but couldn't quite get it right. The mannequin usually got stuck between walls or in the floor. Once they arrived in his penthouse he led her to a special wardrobe of women's clothes that were either left there or he bought for his 'guests'. Not like he'd be getting any more of them but it didn't hurt to have extra clothes in this situation.

"I'm guessing Uncle Tom doesn't know you're here."

He said with a light smirk. He knew who both of they were even though they didn't know who each other was. Even though it wouldn't be that hard. He grabbed her a towel and tossed it to her.

"Dry off, get some clothes and meet me in the kitchen. I'll make some tea."

He said before walking out of the room and leaving Elysia to do her thing.

Elysia followed after JJ towards the secret elevator. She stepped inside when it opened, not even bothering to wait for her cousin as she pressed the button for JJ's penthouse. She sighed, shivering somewhat as she looked over at her cousin. She blinked a moment when he said that it was good that her belt was damaged. A light laugh escaped her lips and she nodded. "Yeah, even for crazy people like us, this tech is tricky," she teased with a smile at her cousin. JJ and her were both crazy and her father could have very well been crazier than the two of them combined, which said something since, well, JJ was pretty mentally unstable to begin with. Elysia was just crazy thanks to her father. Speaking of father's and daughters... "So have you and Davina finally decided to get married?" She asked, grinning as the elevator doors opened.

Elysia walked out and followed her cousin to the wardrobe of women's clothing that he had kept. She shook her head somewhat before he spoke of their Uncle. Elysia shook her head. "Nope. Uncle Thomas doesn't know anything related to me being Red X..." She trailed off. Elysia had contemplated for a long time about telling her Uncle Thomas about her being Red X, but she had always decided against it. In a way, she was worried about how he'd react. I mean...she was a thief after all. Elysia grabbed the towel that JJ threw at her and nodded to him before she shut the doors after he left. She dried off her body and looked through the clothes before she shook her head. She wrapped the towel around her and walked out of the room. "Not working. Going in to your room," she called to him before stepping inside. Once inside she began to go through his drawers. She grinned when she found his sweatpants and a tank top. She threw them on with no problems and then walked out, after throwing the towel into the dirty hamper.

He rolled his eyes at her question.

"Really? I guess word travels pretty fast. Especially when young JJ Grayson decides to stick to one woman."

He said laughing. He knew the tabloids were going nuts with JJ's 'mystery woman' and he actually felt bad. But oddly enough Davina seemed to relish in the fact that the papparazzi were following her around now.

"I know that. And I don't think he should know."

Of course JJ knew Thomas was Batman and that was the real reason why he shouldn't know. Red X while a known member of the Titans was known for occasionally breaking the law. At least JJ used a different costume when he was working for the Fraternity. Of course only he, Davina and the Fraternity knew that. He simply let her go, although wasn't surprised when she couldn't find anything. She was more of a tom boy and the clothing he had were more...prissy so to speak. Although it was at least a nice offer. When she walked in he was sitting at the table sipping some green tea. He nodded his head towards the pot and cup on the other end.

"Ok sit down and start from the beginning."

Elysia chuckled. "Duh, JJ. We're used to you whoring around so it's hard for everyone to think about you possibly settling down," she said, knowing she wouldn't hurt her cousin's feelings by practically calling him a whore. She knew that he was a whore and that was just the way JJ was. Which reminded her... "By the way, Cousin, if you hurt Davina I will castrate you while you sleep so there will be no more little baby Graysons running around to terrorize the women of Gotham City," she said, pointing a finger at him warningly. She loved her cousin, but the moment he messed things up with her best friend and made her cry, he was a dead man. Sure, JJ and Elysia were close, but Davina was her friend and as such, Elysia had to be protective of her just as Davina was protective of Elysia.

Elysia nodded in response to her cousin's words before she went off to get changed. Once she turned and sat down at the table on the other side of him, she sighed. "Well I got up, did what I usually would do in the Tower and then went to make a sandwich. In the kitchen was this guy. He seemed pretty harmless, but I was on my guard. I wasn't sure if one of the other Titans let him in or not, you know? He could be a friend to Melody or to Daniel. We got to talking and apparently he hadn't been let in. He had broken in somehow and Astra got furious with me. She believes she's almighty and powerful because she's Astra, leader of the Teen Titans, and a mind reader. Please. She told me she didn't trust me, which I already knew, and said that I wasn't to leave the Tower. I told her that she couldn't stop me from leaving the Tower and teleported out of there to here. I couldn't think of anywhere else to go..."

"Well, just for the record. If I did hurt Davina I know castration would be welcome in response to what she'd do."

He said with a shiver. Naturally Elysia probably didn't know the extent of JJ's insanity. Sure she probably knew he had a tendency to go a little far sometimes but knowing he killed and practically got off on pain and blood was something he'd hoped to keep from her. He sipped his tea and rolled his eyes as she literally started from the beginning. He simply listened and nodded his head before waiting till she was done.

"I see. So Astra thinks you allowed him to break in and it's somehow your fault? Ya know Elysia as the leader of the Avengers and a former Titan I have access to them anytime I wish. You say the word and I'll sit down with Astra and have a chat about her leadership abilities."

Elysia chuckled, knowing full well that Davina could do so much worse to JJ than Elysia could. Being the granddaughter of Deathstroke himself, and the daughter of Ravager made Davina something lethal. Sure, Bartholomew tried hard to keep his daughter from "going dark side" as Elysia liked to call it, but it wasn't something that Davina did. Sure, there were times where some people were worried that she would slip into the dark side, seeing as she got her mother and grandfather's bloodlust ran happily through her veins. So, assuming that Davina didn't get to JJ first, Elysia was going to castrate her cousin. Davina would probably get over her heartbreak though and either act like nothing ever happened or will attempt to kill him while he slept. More than likely she'd act like nothing had ever happened and she'd go back to being sweet, loyal, caring Davina.

Elysia heard JJ's words and nodded. "I know, JJ, I know. I think I should handle this one myself though. She obviously doesn't trust me and to be honest, I don't feel like I need her trust to be a member of the Teen Titans. I still have a communicator and unless she deactivates it, I'm still on call for all missions. I can work with everyone, take down the baddie, and then go back home with Pete," she said as if it was obvious. Of course that was a little easier said than done seeing as Astra felt as though she was all powerful and was allowed to crush/control anyone in her path, which is what bothered Elysia the most about her. Never once had Astra been kind to her and Elysia just couldn't figure out why. It was probably because she was the daughter of the Red Hood.

"Well I like that you want to handle it yourself. However simply trying to ignore her won't work. Astra....well Astra doesn't really do being ignored."

He said nodding his head. He'd been concerned about Astra for awhile now and had been keeping an eye on her. Of course no one really knew that, even Davina. Sure he was dating her but he still had his secrets, it was simply the way he was.

"I think it has to do with her parents. She comes from a Queen and Charles Xavier, who is one of the greatest heroes ever. Trust me, you're not the only one who comes from a criminal. Your dad is just more famous then my mother."

He said with a shrug. He wanted to help her but he knew she was fiercely independent and wouldn't knowingly accept his help. Although it was only a matter of time before he sat down and had a chat with Astra.

"In the meantime just try and make friends with the other members. That way is Astra goes all nuts you have back up. I mean there's Superboy, Ghostrider and a couple others you could try."

"To be honest with you, JJ, I don't care if she doesn't really do being ignored. She'll have to melt my brain before she gets me to stop ignoring her," she responded sternly. Elysia gazed into her cousin's eyes, knowing that she'd get the point across better that way. Sure, JJ was trying to help, but eh didn't realize, apparently, that his cousin wasn't going to give in for any reason. Elysia blinked at JJ's response and sighed, running a hand through her hair, fluffing her blonde and black locks. "Yeah, I get it. Her parents are all powerful and fantastic while I'm probably considered criminally insane among other things," she said, sighing once more and putting her head against the table. She then went down from the bar stool and went over to the teapot and grabbed a small mug. She wanted some tea to calm down.

Elysia chuckled and sighed, shaking her head at her cousin. "JJ, I'm already friends with Daniel. I don't know about Melody. We've never actually spoken before. I haven't spoken with Karrl or Amiko," she said, shrugging her shoulders. She grinned though at the thought of Daniel. She had to admit, he was an interesting man and she enjoyed his company. The two of them goofed around and watched 300 together after Elysia stole his sweatpants because she wanted to be comfortable and stop wearing skirts. Of course, that was before the fight that had happened only moments ago. She figured that she wouldn't be able to do that for a while anymore. She sighed gently and shook her head before looking back at her cousin. She was going to miss spending time with Daniel.

He laughed a bit at her first comment about having to have her brain melted in order to stop ignoring Astra. He knew if Elysia set her mind to something it would happen. Then again she was part of the Wayne family and that same thing could be said about any member of the family. How they managed to work with others was usually a feat in and of itself.

"Hey, you and I are in the same boat. I hate it but there's a reason a lot of people don't know who my mother is. Actually a good deal of people don't even know she exists. It's something I do hate but it has to be done for people to believe in me."

He said sighing a bit. Only the people he was closest to, including family, knew his true lineage. He didn't need people knowing his mother was a blood thirsty maniac. Although most knew he wasn't exactly the sanest of people so if they found out it would make sense. He smiled a bit as he watched her talk of Daniel but his smile soon faded.

"Daniel huh? I may have to sit down and talk to him. I know what that smile means, it's the same smile Dav gets."

He said leaning back in his chair and sipping his tea.

Elysia shook her head. "Yeah, well, I'm tired of people treating me different because my dad was a psychopath...and I'm tired of people thinking they can't trust me because I used to be a thief. I'm obviously not anymore. I've been trying quite hard to stay away from thievery and I've done a good job. Pete and I have been good little members of the Teen Titans, although it seems that Peter is the only one that Astra seemed to trust," she growled, infuriated by her "team leader's" currently behavior. She seemed to start despising her team leader, which was never a good sign. If Elysia didn't like them, it was tempting to Elysia to quit and either be Red X, or be the Red Twins with Peter, assuming he'd leave with her of course.

Elysia looked at her cousin with a raised eyebrow and shook his head. "Oh shut up, Jonny. I do not get the same smile that Davina gets. That smile is a smile that she specifically has for you and you alone. I call it her, 'I'm so in love with him it makes Elysia want to gag' smile. I, sir, do not have that smile," she defended, rolling her eyes at her cousin before she poured herself some tea. She sighed gently and ran another hand through her hair. "And don't talk to him," she said sternly as she turned and made her way back towards the counter. She sat down with her tea and looked at her cousin, shaking her head. Elysia didn't want him to speak with Daniel. He was a decent guy and the two of them enjoyed each other's company.

"I know you are and I personally am very proud of the two of you. I can't say Thomas would feel the same way but then again who knows?"

He said with a shrug. He knew Thomas was exceptionally good thanks to a little mistake he made in the past. Something JJ had to fight not to do. He would rather live with Thomas' guilt than his own psychosis and knowledge of the murders he's committed.

"Trust me Elysia. If anyone knows truly how hard it can be to go legit and play good guy it's me. And I do know you're doing great. Although I did hear a certain Red themed thief was up for bidding at a certain auction....."

He said with a smirk. He knew a lot about what went on. Of course he also kept an ear to the ground for any mention of Red X and the Red Hood. Not to bust them but to make sure Batman didn't get to them first. That was a reunion he refused to let happen. Same with Batman and Blackbird or his alter ego for the Fraternity, a secret he kept from everyone but the Fraternity and now Davina.

"Oh you know I'd only talk to him if it was official. Although the smiles are similar."

He said with a smile before taking a sip of his tea.

Elysia smiled at her cousin when he told her that he was personally very proud of herself and Peter for staying on the side of the law that wasn't breaking it. She chuckled a little when he spoke of their Uncle Thomas. She shook her head. She wasn't sure if she would ever tell Uncle Thomas about her being Red X, or about Peter being the Red Hood...unless he already knew about Peter. Elysia shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know how Uncle Thomas would react and I'm actually sort of scared to tell him. I mean...he is Uncle Tommy," she said, looking at her cousin who was also known as Nightwing. Of course, just because Elysia knew that JJ was Nightwing did not mean that she knew that Thomas was Gotham's Dark Knight. At the Auction she had heard his voice and it sounded familiar to her, but then again, she had heard the Batman speak before so it was probably just that. After all, some superheroes change their voices like JJ did when he was in his Nightwing attire.

Elysia giggled when JJ mentioned that she was up for bidding at the Auction. "Yeah, well, what can I say? I need money to pay rent on mine and Peter's apartment," she reasoned. "Besides, you're assuming I don't find a way to bust them later," she said looking at her cousin with a coy smirk on her face. Elysia rolled her eyes when he spoke of Daniel once more. "There is not official about Daniel and I, dear Cousin. I doubt anything will ever be. It's just a stupid puppy love crush and it will go away with time, I'm sure," she said with a nod before snorting when he said that the smiles are similar. "Oh please," she muttered, rolling her eyes.
