Pandora's eyes flashed when Batman spoke of her father like that. She watched with sharp eyes as he rose from the ground next to her goon. She ignored the blood as it pooled around the goon's head. She was too angry with Batman for speaking of her father in that way. If there was one thing Pandora hated, it was when someone spoke ill of her father or called him a freak. "How about you keep your trap shut about my father, Batsie," she snapped, unable to help herself as her temper shot out from between her teeth. She realized what she said before she closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths. Pandora opened her eyes and looked at the Batman, her eyes no longer showing any rage and a smile forming on her face. She was sure that Batman had never gotten this kind of reaction out of her. He would probably grow confused and would then try to use it to his advantage, but Pandora wouldn't let him.
When the Bat started talking about making sure that Arkham had a special cell just for her, even if he had to build it brick by brick himself, Pandora put her hand over her heart. "Oh...Batsie...that's so sweet. I think you made my heart beat a little..." She said, sounding innocent before she laughed. "You know, if I had one." She then heard him say that she knew he didn't want to hurt her, which was true. She nodded her head in response before he said that he wouldn't have a problem forcing his hand if he had to. Selena giggled when he asked which road she'd take. "Oh, Batsie, you know exactly what road I'm going to take...or so you think. I may surprise you, hmm?" She asked, walking back and forth, pacing as she waved her pistol around. She then stopped and looked at it before giggling. "Does my toy make you nervous, Batsie?" She asked coyly.

He sudden burst of anger had surprised him. Trading insults and words with Pandora was something that happened every time the two got together, but never had he gotten a reaction like that out of her before. The only thing he had ever really admired about Pandora was that she was always able to maintain her composure, which with her mental state was quite a feat, but then again he had never made a comment about the Joker before.
He would have to dwell on it all later as it didn’t take long for Pandora to regain her bubbly attitude which made her dangerous again. While he did have a slight window to act when she was upset and not thinking clearly, that moment passed thanks to him not being able to act quick enough and being taken aback by her outburst.
“You and I both know that there is nothing you have or can do that I can’t handle Pandora. That is why you always lose.”[/b][/I]

Pandora knew her folly. She had shown weakness in front of Batman, which was not a wise decision. He would use it against her in a later fight and she'd be damned if she'd let him win over her. She needed to just let it roll off of her shoulders like her father often did. The man was anything but stable, but at least he usually took things as some sort of joke. Of course, Pandora was very close to her father. He had raised her from her beat up, ragged, painful old life into a new one where she was empowered. Where she could do what she wanted, when she wanted, and she loved that idea. She wanted nothing more than to be completely empowered in her own life, in her own world. She wasn't going to be a maid or servant again. Not the way her parents treated her. She would never go back to that ever again...ever.She hated it when people had power over her. They didn't deserve it. No one did.
After asking Batman if he was afraid of her toy, Pandora pouted cutely at him. "Now, now, Batsie, play nicely. We both know that there is a lot that I can do that you can't handle," she claimed, winking flirtatiously for a moment before giggling insanely. She waved the gun about carelessly, making any of her goons that weren't severely damaged cringe in fear. They didn't want her to use that gun on them next especially since that poor fellow had probably been the most loyal to her out of all of them. Of course, there was nothing they could do to get out of being her goon now. They'd either have to die, or never get on her bad side in order to live their lives. Pandora's eyes weren't on them though, so technically they could run away, if they didn't make any sounds, of course. One of the goons though had this plan, but his food crunched on a piece of rubble and Pandora's eyes shot to him. "Where do you think you're going?" She asked sternly, almost like a mother scolding her child for trying to sneak out of the house.

They were locked in a stalemate. She wasn’t about to shoot him and he wasn’t about to rush her. He knew that she wouldn’t be able to shoot him with the gun, she was too slow, but that wasn’t what he was worried about. While he knew she had that special goo in her weapon, he didn’t know if she had it someplace else on her person. If they got into a struggle then there was no way to know for certain if she wouldn’t be able to apply some to his face during the scuffle.
Out of the corner of his eye he saw one of her goons getting up slowly, looking to get away from him and Pandora. After seeing what her weapon was capable of, he couldn’t blame the man for wanting to run. From what he could tell it seemed the man would get away, at least for now. He wasn’t about to chase after him when he was in a deadlock with Pandora. The goon was small potatoes compared to Pandora. Then Pandora acted and turned her attention to the hireling.
Within what seemed to be the blink of an eye Batman reached into his utility belt, pulled out one of his batarangs, and hurled it at Pandora’s weapon. Charging at her, he reached into his utility belt again, and pulled out a bolas which he hurled at her frightened goon who was them bound around the chest.
“He’s going nowhere until I say so,”[/b][/I] he said as he reached out for Pandora. “Just like you.”[/b][/I]

The goon had such a hold on Pandora's attention that she hadn't even seen Batman pull his batarang out of his utility belt and throw it at her. She yelped somewhat as it hit the gun and knocked it from her hand. She turned just in time to see Batman charging for her. Selena smirked somewhat, watching as he threw a bolas which he grabbed from his utility belt at the goon who was trying to escape. Pandora watched as he was bound up before she turned her attention back towards the Batman. She heard him speak and watched as he reached out for her. Pandora's eyes lit up and within a few seconds, she had back flipped out of his reach and did a somersault in the air, landing on a desk as she looked at the Dark Knight. She pulled a trigger from her pocket. "Ah-ah, Batsie...you better not do that..." She said, giggling playfully.
Selena looked at Batman happily from her perch. If there was one thing that her father had taught her it was that the more distance you put between you and your enemy, or the Batman, the easier and faster it is to get away, which is what villains like them needed. She knew the fastest way out of there as well. It would, more than likely, be the sewer outside which she would move, jump in to, and sneak away back to her father's old hide out, which was now her new hide out. She thought it was brilliant, but of course, she had several hide outs, most of which Batman had never seen before, or heard of. Pandora was very pleased with this idea, of course, she couldn't think about that now. She had to focus on the flying mammal man that was in front of her. She tilted her head to the side, still grinning at him.

Well he had almost had her anyway. It seemed that every time they ran into each other that Pandora proved to always be just out of reach. Even though he wouldn’t ever admit it to anyone, he believed that Pandora was better than her adopted father. She was more crafty than her father and unlike him didn’t have the same obsession with Batman that he did. It was probably because of that lack of obsession that made her better. It allowed her to think more clearly when it came to dealing with him.
When she pulled out the trigger, he narrowed his eyes at her. He didn’t know what it was to, but imagined that she had pre-rigged either the vehicles or another part of the bank to explode. Which meant that she had another escape plan ready to go incase things got bad enough she couldn’t use the same vehicles she showed up in.
“You can’t win Pandora. Just give up,”[/b][/I] he said as the sounds of siren approaching finally caught his ears.
About time they put down their donuts and prostitutes so that they can do their jobs.[/i]

Selena looked over at Batman, tilting her head to the side when he narrowed his eyes at her. She giggled playfully, unable to help herself. "I can't win? Why not Batsie? I think I'm one step ahead of the game than you are," she said, grinning slyly at him. Selena was indeed one step ahead of Batman and she wasn't afraid to say it. She was sure that he wouldn't be too afraid to say it either. She waited calmly for a moment before hearing sirens approaching. She put on a shocked face and put her hand over her mouth. "Uh oh, Batsie. We're going to have company," she said before giggling at him. She sighed happily and walked over to a desk, sitting down. All the while, her eyes were on him, watching him just in case he felt like springing in to action. She knew Batman, as much as he would hate to admit it, she knew him very well.
Selena just sat there as the sirens grew closer. Once they were finally loud enough, she didn't move. She just sat there and looked at Batman, wondering what to do. She was tempted to press the trigger and run, but she decided against it. She heard the sirens stop and then she heard guns. She heard one man call for her to put her hands in the air, but she didn't. She held up her hand for a moment, the one with the trigger as she ignored the police and looked at Batman. "Batsie, I was just think--AHH!" Selena screamed and was knocked off the desk as the trigger of a gun was pulled. Selena felt a burning pain in her shoulder. She felt tears threaten to spill from her black lined eyes. She dropped the trigger, putting her hand over the gushing wound. She let out another scream as she did so before she looked over at Batman, tears streaming down her face. She didn't blame him. Her eyes shot towards the police, who still had their guns raised. Selena saw one officer moved and quickly turned to hide behind the desk, clutching her wound still. She wasn't too worried about the trigger anymore.

As much as he hated to admit it, it seemed that Pandora finally managed to get a step ahead of him. She had to have not only planned the robbery ahead of time but she must have also anticipated his arrival on the scene too. Then again there was a possibility that the trigger was a bluff and that she didn’t have it rigged to anything, but it wasn’t a sure enough theory for him to risk it. Pandora, like her father before her, was crazy and capable of anything.
“Looks like play time is over Pandora, turn yourself in and save yourself from...”[/b][/I]
He had been cut off mid-sentence by the officers from outside shooting. One of them had managed to hit Pandora in the shoulder and sent her crawling for cover with tears in her eyes. Turning around, he saw the cops level their pistols on him next, and opened fire.
“Alright. Both of you come out now with your hands in the air and no sudden movements or we’ll blow you both away to Kingdom Come,”[/b] one of the officers shouted.
Gritting his teeth, Batman looked over the six men who had arrived on the scene. He knew who each officer was and not one of them was a decent cop. Turning his head to the side, he could hear Pandora sob from the pain of being shot. Personally, he had no sympathy for whatsoever, but he couldn’t just let her suffer. She needed medical attention and it was doubtful that these guys were going to get her that. Turning back to the Gotham Police Officers, he let out a sigh, and retrieved several smoke pellets and exploding batarangs from his utility belt unnoticed.
“On the ground Batman. Now.”[/b]
When it was obvious that he wasn’t about to comply, the officer opened his mouth to speak, but Batman didn’t give him a chance. From underneath his cape, the Batman threw the smoke pellets and batarangs at their targets. The batarangs landed in the front grill of each of the three squad cars and the smoke pellets landed at the wide opening of the bank to hide his movements. After several bullets whizzed by him, the batarangs he had thrown exploded, and the sounds of screaming and flames filled the area. Turning to Pandora, he used his utility belt to signal his Batmobile, and made his way over to her. He wasn’t too happy about what he was doing, but criminal or not, she needed his help.
“We’re leaving this party behind,”[/b][/I] he said as he looked down at her. “Come on,”[/b][/I] he added, reaching down to pick her up in his arms.

Pandora could feel a terrible, white hot burning sensation in her shoulder as she sat behind the desk. She gripped the wound as tight as she could, not really worrying about anything else. This is it, Panda. You're going to be seeing your father again soon, she thought to herself as she leaned her head back against the desk. She heard the police officers talking and blinked a moment. Her face scrunched up with confusion as she heard them talk to Batman like he was a criminal as well. Weren't the Police and Batman working together to get scum off of the streets of Gotham City? She was seriously confused by this. There was nothing but curiousness in her mind as she wanted to crawl over and see what was wrong, but she remembered her shoulder and decided against it. She instead just sat there, eyes shut from the pain as fresh tears continued to roll down her face.
Pandora stayed like that too until she heard more gunshots. Her eyes widened and she jumped in fright before hearing an explosion and then several screams. She blinked, confused before she turned when she heard someone coming towards her. She tilted her head to the side as Batman came towards her and told her that they were blowing this Popsicle stand. She watched, dumbfounded as he reached down for her before she took his hand with her good arm and pulled herself up, attempting to stand. She was confused, but would ask him why he was helping her later. For now, though, she would keep her mouth shut and let Batman do the driving. After all, she wasn't about to stop him from helping her. She needed medical attention or she would probably die. She was more than sure that she didn't want to die from blood loss.

When she took his hand, he pulled her onto her feet, and lifted her up in his arms. As he started heading towards the back of the bank, he heard the sounds of more sirens heading in their direction. He knew he would have to move fast if he was going to get Pandora proper medical attention.
Kicking open the Emergency door in the back, he stepped out into the alley as his batmobile came to a stop just inches from them. Walking over to the side of the car, the top opened up, and he gently set Pandora down in the passenger side seat. Making his way to the other side, he hoped into the driver seat, and closed the top of the vehicle. Slamming his foot down on the gas, the six hundred horse power engine roared loudly as he zoomed out of the alleyway. Driving down the street at nearly sixty miles an hour, the Batman bobbed and weaved through the traffic towards Gotham General. As he turned one of the corners, he came face to face with several more squad cars heading towards them. Narrowing his eyes, Thomas hit the brakes, and spun the car into a one eighty.
“Hang on and don’t vomit all over the upholstery,”[/b][/I] he said as he hit the gas again.
As he headed back down the street, he reached out, and hit a button on the dash. From behind them the faint sound of tires exploding filled his ears as the spikes he deployed rendered the vehicles useless.

Selena felt as Batman picked her up into his arms like she was nothing and slumped against him as he walked, still keeping pressure on her wound. She heard the sirens and felt her eyes water a bit more. She heard, and felt, Batman kick the back door to the bank open and heard the roar of his faithful Batmobile as it pulled up next to them. She felt him take a few more steps before she was set down on the leather seat of the Batmobile. Pandora just sat there, still holding her arm before she watched the Batman walked around the mobile and climb in. She watched, almost emotionlessly, as he got into the driver's seat. The doors shut and it was mere seconds before Batman slammed down on the gas making the Batmobile dart out of the alleyway and down the street.
Pandora didn't even hold on as she watched the Batman weave in and out of cars and other automobiles. She heard the sirens of more squad cars and squealed a little, getting go of her arm to grab on to something, getting her blood on the inside of the vehicle as Batman slammed on the breaks and did a complete one eighty. She looked over at him as he told her to hang on and not throw up. She nodded and held on as he slammed on the gas again and darted down the road. She watched as he hit a button on the dash. She tilted her head to the side before she heard a faint sound. She moved in her seat a little and turned around just in time to see the tires of the cop cars explode. Selena turned back around and slumped down in the chair. "...are you going to let me die?" he asked softly as she sat in the passenger seat.

He sat there looking out at the road, his face was blank, and emotionless...at least it was until Pandora finally spoke to him. Turning his head towards her, he looked over her bullet wound, and let out a sigh. Even though every ounce of his being wanted to just pull over, kick her out, and let her die for everything she has done...he couldn’t. As much as he wanted to see her suffer, and enjoyed seeing her in pain, he wasn’t about to let her die. No. He was going to be the hero his father had trained him to be.
“Not tonight Pandora,”[/b][/I] he said as he turned his gaze back to the street. “As much as you deserve to die for all the pain and agony you have brought to other people I’m not going to let you die. I’m going to get you to Gotham General where you will get medical attention you need.”[/b][/I]
Even though he wanted to stay with her all the way through to make sure she got apprehended and thrown back into Arkham, he knew that it wouldn’t be possible, and that tonight Pandora was getting a free pass. The Gotham PD would not be able to hold her and the Dark Knight couldn’t stay and watch guard. After he made sure she was safely at the hospital, he would need to head back to the Cave and come up with a new game plan.

Pandora was too busy looking out the window when Batman looked over at her after she spoke. She listened to his words before she looked over at him. She looked clearly confused and somewhat shocked. She turned to him and then noticed that she got blood on the inside of his car. "Sorry, Batsie...I got blood in your mobile..." She trailed off quietly and looked around before she pulled her purple jacket off, revealing her light green tank top and red tie. She folded up her jacket and put it behind her shoulder, gasping in pain as she did so. She looked down at her wound and poked it before gasping out. "Well...mental note: don't touch it anymore," she muttered to herself as she looked down at the wound before she went back to looking out of the window.
Pandora sat there for a moment before she leaned over quickly and kissed his cheek. She sat back down in her seat. "Thank you, Batman," she murmured softly. She wondered if he would notice that it was the first time that she hadn't called him Batsie. She knew that her adoptive father would roll over in his grave if he knew what had just happened. Not only had she just kissed the Bat on the cheek, but she had also thanked him. Yes, Pandora was sure that her father would roll over in his grave if not return from the dead to punish her and then try and kill the Bat. She was quiet for a moment. "Do we...have to go to the hospital?" She asked, looking over at him. "I don't...I don't want to go to Arkham...and they'll take me back there...especially if I'm me..." Pandora's voice was quiet and almost child-like.

He grinned when she had told him she got blood in his vehicle. Truth be told, he had gotten blood in the vehicle plenty of times after his nights of patrolling so he really didn’t mind. Not to mention that it also gave him a sample of her DNA to keep on record in case he needed it.
Then a look of shock and confusion crossed his face as he felt her soft lips against the skin of his cheek. There were three things that Batman had never expected Pandora do to: Give up crime, kiss him, and thank him genuinely. Two of those had happened, but he wasn’t foolish enough to think that the third would follow suit.
“I’d like to say I’m sorry Pandora, but I can’t. You need help and Arkham is where you need to be,”[/b][/I] he said as he turned towards with a more stoic look. “We are all responsible for the choices we make and the ones you make will lead you nowhere that you want to be Pandora. You are capable of good, I know this, but you have to be willing to change. It’s the only way to stop me from putting you in Arkham.”[/b][/I]
He wanted to help her, it was his job after all to help people. He knew how Pandora was raised and how it moulded her into the person she was today, but in the end it was still her choice. And as long as she kept making the wrong choices, he was going to be there to stop her and put her back into Arkham Asylum.

Pandora saw the look of shock and confusion on his face after she kissed his cheek and thanked him. When she asked him if she had to go, she saw the look on his face and heard his words. A light sigh escaped Pandora's lips. "Okay...then...can I at least change? I don't...want them to know who I am..." She said quietly. "As I'm sure you're aware of, Batman. I have two sides. Pandora...and my...I guess human side you could call it. They have both of me on file at Arkham. I would prefer if they didn't know that Pandora and myself are the same person...just as I'm sure you wouldn't like it if people new that you and your...civilian side were the same person. Chaos would reign and of course as much as I'd love that, then everyone would know who I am. I'd be dead within mere seconds if anyone found out..." She was quiet a moment. "That...and you don't know what Arkham has done to me..."
Selena sighed though and leaned back against her jacket so she wouldn't get more blood on his leather seats. She looked out the window, turning away from him and curling up in the seat. She was acting as if she was a child again, except even so, Batman was treating her like a person, unlike when her parents usually treated her. Even her father treated her like the Batman was, which began to mess with her mind. She was confused. Were both right in the world? Was one of them wrong and tricking her? Would the world be better off without her? She was quiet. "Batman...do you think the world would be better off if I wasn't in it?" She asked quietly. She waited patiently for his answer, wondering what he would say. On the plus side, if he said yes, she would find a way to exact her revenge, but if he said no, she would be confused. Either way, whether she was in the world or not didn't matter to her. On the one side, she'd be doing what her father would want her to do, on the other side, she'd be with her father.
