Selena perked up immediately in the box as the Batman was brought on stage. She heard Hunter bid and listened as the bids went higher and higher. It was then that Selena tapped Hunter on the shoulder, signaling to him that she was leaving the box. She went into a nearby bathroom and quickly changed into her usual outfit. She was glad that Hunter had gotten the mutant girl, of course, she knew that he would use her in whatever ways he saw fit. Not that she actually cared, at least she wouldn't care until she found out about him thinking that she was hot. Then, she was sure, that she would be furious with him for it. She would indeed be somewhat jealous, but then again, she had to think about Harrower...
After changing, Pandora stepped out of the bathroom and into the crowd. "Only Seven Mil for the big bad Bat? Oh that is interesting," she said happily. A giggle escaped her lips. "Ten million," she bid, not even bothering to stop. She knew she had it and the Bat wasn't about to slip through her fingers. Not this time. No. She would do better than this. Her father would be proud of her for getting her grip on the Batman. Pandora listened as she waited for people to outbid her. She knew it wouldn't take too long for someone to out bid her. She waited, patiently, knowing that if anyone outbid her, she would bid again. She didn't care who it was, Hunter, or the rich looking Brunette. Batman was going to be hers if it was the last thing she ever did. There would be no stopping her and she'd make sure of that. |

Backstage, Elysia heard and saw when Batman was pulled up onto the bidding block. She raised an eyebrow, curious to see how much he was going to go for. She definitely felt her Teen Titan instincts kick in, but she shoved them back into their box quickly. She knew what she was here for and she wasn't about to let that go down. She noticed how he was pretty drugged and pretty beat up. He looked...seemingly familiar to her and his voice was almost familiar to her as well. She couldn't pinpoint it though and it was driving her crazy. She bit down on her bottom lip behind her mask and watched as Batman was bid upon. She felt a tiny sprig of jealously start to form in the pit of her stomach as she heard his bids being raised higher and higher. At this rate, no one would even have enough money to bid on her except for the small fries!
This is ridiculous, she thought bitterly to herself as she watched the weakened hero speak. His voice...it was so familiar...almost too familiar. She shook that thought from her head. She'd worry about it later. Her ears perked up as ten million dollars were bid on Batman. She peaked out behind the curtain for a brief moment to see who it was. The daughter of his worst enemy, Pandora. Elysia knew who she was. Her Uncle Thomas often spoke of her when she goes out. He tells her to keep a look out and stay safe. The man was crazy about her safety, but she was thankful for it. Her Uncle was one of the only adults to ever care for her besides her mother and father and she loved him all the more. |

Deadpool looked around the auction for a safe place to change his mask and his suit. He found a suitable corner, he then went over and took off his mask and changed his face to look slightly like Tom Cruz. He then looked around and grabbed a random thug and beat the crap out of him. "Hey bud sorry I seem to need your weird clothing, for a minute to..enhance the auction experience" he said. Deadpool took the the liberty to commandeer his thuggish clothing. He started to put it on and strapped his swords on his back and his guns on his side. He then kept on walking and started to hear people talk, is that Tom Cruz, Whoa whats Tom Cruz here? He smirked a bit, "Well hello there here to get girls for my drug trafficking...trafficking" he said looking around. "Were I can I find a girl with electrical powers, oh wait out in the back I'll be right back" he stated nodding a bit. As he continued to walk through the crowd out into the back were the two guards were. He then patted them on the shoulder, "Well dogs, stay...stay...good boy's I'll give you a taco when I'm done".
As he was going past them one of the guards raised a brow and looked to the other guard. As Deadpool made it to the back he looked around to see if the girl was there. He looked around to see if there was anyone that could point him to the electrical watt. Looking up a bit he saw Elysia waiting in the back, seemed like she was waiting for to be called out. "Well now isn't that a cookie in a potato chip bag, with a side of Belgium waffles" he stated folding his arms. "Well least I don't have to rescue two damisals with the ability to blow the 'sockets' of you, get it sockets ha ha I crack myself up" he said as he walked deeper in to the back. "Dammit, wish I had a spork or something to detect this girl" he said looking threw all the cages.

Rain had to resist the urge to growl when she was outbid. Her feline side was on edge and threatening to take over. The scent of fear and hormones where heavy in the air. "Twenty million!" Rain shouted in the same scratchy voice. Her eyes where scanning the room when she spotted a few familiar figures. Some she knew where from records her father kept and she had scanned.
One was also bidding on Batman. The very idea of her getting Batman made her blood run real cold. Soon the whole room was dropping in temperature. It would start get uncomfortable for any anyone not covered up not use to cold temperatures. Rain was covered mostly up so she would not stand out when others started shivering. Her eyes where covered so no one could see them as the temperature slowly dropped.

LIke an object being passed, Kaylee was moved through corridors, being exchanged between thugs as the money was paid. Then she was placed in a private holding cell until her new owner came for her. The drugs were starting to wear off and her head started to spin and ache.
With a groan she slide down against the wall and drew her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. Where was she? It was cold and dark and she was starving. Trying not to cry she buried her face in her arms.

This would not do. No not at all. As the price went up for the Batman, bidding from the boxes and the floor, Ornella stood on her feet and growled. She wouldn't loose this.
"Fifty Million!" She shouted, making the bid herself. The auctioneer had barely been able to keep up with the bids.
"Fifty million from the madam in box five, do I hear sixty? Sixty for the Batman?"
Her eyes roamed up to the marquee that kept track of the bids. She didn't want her lack of hearing to get in the way of this...

Selena's eyes flashed as she heard two more bids. She was not going to be outbid, not by these people. There was no way that she would ever accept defeat. These rich snobs and their gobs of money, probably just wanting the Batman for publicity or something of that nature. Maybe they'd be looking to make even more money by selling him once again, but Pandora wasn't thinking about any of that. No. She didn't care about fame or money. She wanted to get the Batman and keep him all to herself...especially after their little run in. She supposed she shouldn't be bidding on him for revenge after he got her to get medical attention, which was actually quite nice of him. She suppose she'd buy him, let him go, and then steal her money back. Selena's eyes lit up. She had just gotten an even better idea.
Selena bid once again. "One hundred million!" She called, grinning as she made her way to the front. Most people turned and looked at her oddly but she didn't seem to really care. She pulled something out of her front pocket discretely. She looked straight into Batman's eyes as she walked, hoping that he could tell by the look in her eyes that she was going to get him out of there. Once close enough to the front, she back flipped on stage beside him and began to walk around him like she was inspecting him. Selena's goons lined around off stage, keeping most people back. Selena smiled effortlessly before she signaled to her goons, who threw down smoke bombs. The bombs erupted and Selena immediately began to get the Batman's restraints off. Once done, she whispered," We're even," to him before she back flipped out of the smoke screen and disappeared. Hunter sat back and smirked as Pandora jumped onto the stage with Batman. He made a simple motion with his hands and knew his men would be ready to respond to anything that might happen. Meanwhile three were sent to gather his prize as it seemed this auction was over for now. As her men surrounded the stage in the shadows Hunter's men stood, and waited. Pandora was his general of sorts meaning his men had to follow her as well. As the smoke began to fill the stage he stood up and downed his drink before walking to the door. His men produced their weapons and stood ready for anything. Meanwhile his prize should be in the process of being moved to his limo that was waiting.
"Pandora, it's time we make our leave."
He said simply as he began to walk out, flicking his cigarillo as he did. One of the other bidder's men came up to Hunter either in confusion or to try and stop him. All the men received was a black blade through his stomach before Hunter kept walking, knowing Pandora would follow. And if not, well he knew where her base was. And if she crossed him he would bid out that bit of information to the top bidder.
(OOC: This post only works with the assumption that Pandora's is accepted by everyone. So I'll change it if neccesary)

Rain was on high alert as the bidding continued. She could feel herself losing control of the feline within. As the final bid was placed Rain head snapped to the side hearing the cry of cat in trouble. Her feline side was already on edge and the cry pushed it over the edge and within a heartbeat, Rain's feline side took over. Rain's scarf feel down allowing nearby patrons see her face and several strands of white hair that had come out from under her open faced mask.
Rain face turned from human to lion and like a wave the rest of her body morphed into a female adult lion. She let out a ferocious roar. Many yelled in fear and scattered in panic. Rain tail whipped side to side and the commotion on stage caught her attention. She sprinted toward the stage and easily made the leap. She found that that the stage was too slippery for her to stop. She ended up sliding and leaving gorges in the stage as she attempted to stop herself.

Ornella's eyes glared and she stood as the screen stopped telling the bids. She looked down at the stage to see a ridiculously dressed woman near the Batman and a sudden cloud of smoke. Then to further annoy her someone had apparently released a Lion into the fray, she guessed the Lion to have been an auction piece. This whole thing was falling to pieces. No doubt Maroni would be having a few heads for this.
In any case, Ornella didn't like chaos and she wasn't going to sit around to see what happen. Very upset about the outcome, and turned and headed for the door.
"Get my car ready." She growled at her men. Inwardly she thought if she ever got her hands on that woman she'd make her pay for that ridiculous scene.

Before Kaylee-Anne even had time to get a grip the door opened and another pair of gruff hands grabbed her and dragged her from the holding cell. Her bare feet stumbled until she was pushed into the back of a car.
With a groan, her head slumped against the car door. She felt simply awful and her head hurt. What was going on?

He had started to drift back into unconsciousness when he had heard a familiar voice. Part of him was grateful and part of him was annoyed at her presence in his city. Given the circumstances he couldn’t blame her, he would have done the same in her position.
Then they had announced a winner. At first he thought he was just imaging things, but then he saw her. He had hoped that after saving her that she would have changed, at least a little, but it appeared that he was wrong. Or so he thought. All around him smoke filled the area and he felt his binders come undone. It seemed that part of him did get to Pandora after all.
Falling off of his chair, he landed on his hands and knees, as he tried to get his senses back. Looking to the side he had noticed that his utility belt was being showcased just a couple feet away, but between the pain and the drugs in his system it was going to be hard for him to get there. Then a lion slid to a stop just in front of him.
“Rain. My utility belt,”[/b][/I] he said as he pointed to the small table where his yellow belt sat. “I need it to counteract the drugs in my system. Get it for me quickly before I lose consciousness again.”[/b][/i]

Elysia ignored Deadpool when he spoke to her. There was was no reason for her to show that she knew him. Despite how she may have wanted to say hello she was here as Red X, thief for hire, not Elysia Todd, member of the Teen Titans. A light sigh escaped her lips before she saw the fiasco before her as Pandora seemed to approach the Batman. Now Elysia's Teen Titan instincts were heading into over drive. She resisted though, knowing better than to leap into action to save the Batman when she was the thief side of Red X. She needed to resist...no matter how much she wanted to save him, she needed to resist.
After a moment, Elysia stared blankly at Pandora as she threw down her smoke bomb. Elysia didn't need to cover her face or mask or anything. Her mask had a special filtration system, unlike her father's. She blinked curiously and looked around, waving the smoke before seeing that Pandora had freed the Batman. Elysia raised her eyebrows before people started to panic and become outraged. Elysia looked around. "Well, I think it's high time to book it," she said before she looked around and headed out the nearest exit. It was then that Elysia heard someone peculiar. She turned and saw a lion go to retrieve Batman's utility belt. She blinked. How in the hell did Batman know a lion? And how in the hell did it understand English? Elysia shook her head and snuck out the nearest back exit. She pushed a button on her belt and she took on her normal form. Elysia pulled off her Red X mask and stuffed it into her pocket. She casually walked away from the building.[/blockquote]

The car door opened and Hunter climbed in with two men in black suits. He nodded his head to Kaylee and the limo took off. It seemed they'd gotten away and he was one of the few who'd made a purchase.
"If Marioni's parties are always like that remind to not accept anymore RSVP's from him. Check into that won't you?"
The two men gave a slight laugh. One nodded his head before teleporting out of the car with a flash of light.
"Well it's better than a puff of smoke I suppose. That's so cliched."
He said smirking before taking a drag of his black cigarillo.

Rain's charge at the stage did not go unnoticed and she could hear the screams of panic and fear as people fled the scene. She heard Batman's voice and paused before looking over at his belt. Her feline mind identify him as a friend, like part of an extended pride. She carefully took the belt in her mouth and brought it in front of him.
She then smelled a familiar scent passing by and growled looking past Batman only to know the source of the smell was gone. Her human mind regained control and she shifted back to human only leaving her ears in cat form. The smoke was starting to clear so Rain called in the fog to hide Batman and herself. "How can I help?" Rain asked Batman. She was alert to any movement around her and her ears were constantly moving as she heard multiple sounds around them. The fog enshrouded first just the two of them but, was slowly rolling out making it harder for people to see what was happening around them.
