Rain was furious. She had just gotten an intelligence report from home that stated people on the outskirts of Wakanda had gone missing. On top of that there was another intelligence report from Gotham of people being sold into slavery. The previous cloudless sky had quickly become dark and stormy, reflecting Rain's fury. On top of that she had been informed that Kaylee had been kidnapped. Rain's informants told her the general location of where the slave market was being held. She suspected that was where Kaylee's was taking her.
Rain had to take time to calm herself down before she even attempted to do anything related to raiding the slave auction. Between her looks and powers she would be an easy target of slavers if she was spotted. She knew incognito was the way to. After several hours Rain calmed her self down enough to be able that she was not affecting the weather. She found the area that was where the slave market. She made sure no one was around and shifted to a small dark gray cat and then rolled in some dust making herself look more like a stray. She then went on the prowl trying to locate the entrance to the slave market and a way inside.

Connor felt uneasy, no doubt about it. Gotham was a dark city, with a crime and gang problem that made New York's look like a bunch of amateurs. And worse yet, he could hear it all. Twenty two different crimes being commited all at once... Make that twenty one. Despite being in disguise and all dressed up to look like a crook, he was doing his part whilst making his way to the address. The thug went down with a single punch, Connor returning the poor woman her handbag, and telling her to run along quickly, before someone else showed up.
He couldn't believe this town. He'd seen inside the woman's handbag - less than ten dollars. The money wasn't kept in a purse, so it should've been clear to the mugger he wasn't gonna get a lot for the effort. And yet he still tried stealing it. "Keep calm Kent - gotta stay in character." He sighed to himself, working on his fake voice in the process, before getting back to walking. If it were any other day, he'd be doing a lot more here. But for now, it was gonna have to take a backseat in his conscience - something a lot more important to deal with.
The Web had received a tip that the market was going to sell off its 'stock' this week, and in this city. Hell, that tip had come with a map guiding the way to it. Seemed like it was pretty much sending out info to every crook who could possibly afford to buy from them. Hearing this, he'd specifically requested that he be the one to go undercover, and see it all for himself. He'd be sure to bring back evidence for the courts in the form of photos, because there sure as hell wasn't gonna be much left after he was done with this place.
He arrived soon enough, though not one hundred percent sure of where the entrance was. Map only stopped at this general location. Great. Kent rubbed his temples, just about to use his X-ray vision to take a sneak peak inside, when the pitter patter of small feet met his ear. He turned his view, finding a small cat walking around, seemingly a stray. Making sure noone was watching, he approached the thing, and crouched down, his hand reaching to stroke it. "Hey there little guy. Might wanna get out of here, things are gonna get real dangerous soon enough." He whispered in his normal, and unaltered voice - would be a lot more friendly than the crook persona he would have to convey later.

Rain's ears twitched as she heard someone coming. She let her feline side take over so that the reaction would be even more genuine. Rain spotted the man and knew she did not know. She stayed quiet till he approached her. When he approached her she laid her ears back and opened her mouth wide first hissing then growling at the man. She arched her back and attempted to disappeared behind a dumpster.
Rain managed to get herself under the dumpster so she had multiple ways out. She watch the man's movements trying to figure out which way he was coming so she could escape in the other direction.

Still noone around, so he supposed he could chase after the thing, make sure it actually got out of the area. He wasn't sure how well he'd hold back on a bunch of slave traders. And a trash dumpster wouldn't serve as that good protection for a cat that small. "Hey now, that's not what I meant." He said, casually crouching down by the dumpster, making no sudden movements.
He placed both hands under the dumpster, but made no attempt to go near the cat this time. It hadn't liked him much when he tried to stroke it after all. From there, he lifted the dumpster up by more than a few inches, giving a clear few of the thing. "Seriously, get outta here." Maybe he was being a bit naive actually thinking a cat would understand his words. But he didn't really want to deliberately scare it into fleeing.

Rain continued to growl at Conner from under the dumpster. She backed up a bit as Conner tried to talk to her. She hissed more as he said that hiding under the dumpster was not what he meant. Rain was about to flee when Conner placed his two hands the dumpster.
Rain's feline side froze in fright when the dumpster was lifted up. Rain human took back over and looked around for any security camera's seeing none but knowing there could be some her eyes started to white over and fog soon started to block the vision of any one watching. Using the fog as cover Rain de-morphed to her usual self. She was wearing her usual uniform, the full black body suit, she had added an addition for the night had a open faced mask on so her hair was hidden. "Lifting a dumpster like that is only going to scare the cat out of its wits. Hopefully no one saw you doing that or they would of taken both of us in to be auctioned off. The very fact that you stop to help me as a cat, put me in more danger then if had left me alone," Rain told him. She had her hands on her hips in a dominant posture. She did not kindly to Conner's action that actually endangered her more then helped her. She was lucky that the weather conditions proved favorable to fog.
