JJ walked into the training room holding his bow and with his quiver over his shoulder. He was just wearing a sleeveless shirt, black shorts and black shoes. He was going to start with target practice before going onto more physical training. He entered the training room and the door closed behind him.
"Computer, run program Nightwing archery 10."
There was a beep confirming his request and soon small targets began to appear all around as well as walls and patrolling robots with targets on their heads.
"I haven't done this in a awhile, so here goes."
He grabbed one arrow and drew it back. He began to walk through the maze before quickly firing at one target in front of him, getting a bullseye. As he walked and fired he was aware of someone watching him but opted to ignore them.

The day had been pretty decent, of course, most days were when you spent most of your time in the Avengers Watchtower that happened to orbit the earth. Davina Wilson, also known as Deathstroke, was walking around the little space station boredly. She hadn't seen anyone in a while which bothered her somewhat, but she figured she could use a little seclusion after her last episode that no one, thankfully, knew about. Except for maybe, the Avengers fearless leader JJ Grayson, or Nightwing. Then again, the man seemed to know everything, not that Davina really cared. It was sort of strange seeing as she wanted none of the other Avengers to know about her episode, but it was perfectly alright if JJ knew. She supposed he sort of...understood her in a way since he sort of...had a bloodlust problem as well. Not that Davina cared of course, everyone had their weaknesses.
As Davina walked around the Watchtower, she heard a noise coming from the training room and stopped. She peaked in to see what was going on and smiled somewhat when she saw that it was none other than JJ himself. He was training of course, his archery to be precise, in his black shorts, shoes, and sleeveless shirt, the color of which she was not sure. She tilted her head to the side and waited for her leader to be over. If he wished, she would leave with no questions or words but if he didn't mind, she would stay and watch, or maybe even train herself seeing as she was wearing a pair of light grey sweat shorts and a black tank top. She usually trained without shoes on so that was really no problem for her. She noticed that he seemed to notice her as well but kept training.

"I always figured someone with super speed would have more stealth capabilities."
He said with a slight laugh before firing another arrow. He had known someone was there and caught part of her reflection in a falling robot. Naturally both his parents had trained him to use and hone his senses to make sure no one snuck up on him. And it worked for the most part. He wasn't perfect and his senses were only as good as a human's, since he was 100% human. Although with his adrenaline burst ability some could argue otherwise, which was justified.
"You're welcome to join me if you wish, unless you need something."
He was smart enough to know that if she was there it was for two reasons. Either she needed something for him or wanted to train. And seeing as how she didn't just come right out and say something he'd guessed it was the latter. He drew back another arrow and fired. It ricocheted off one wall and then another before striking a robot a few yards down the hall. He glanced over his shoulder towards her before turning the corner and disappearing from her sight.

Davina smirked a little at JJ's words and shook her head as she watched him. "Yeah, well for once I didn't think I'd need to be stealthy, Mr. Grayson," she teased, watching as he shot his bow with complete accuracy. "Besides, it's not like you can do much harm," she joked, knowing he was as deadly as any one of the other Avengers. She raised an eyebrow when he said that she could join him, which was odd because, well, JJ usually trained by himself unless there was an Avengers team session, which was usually once a week to keep the team on their toes, but this was just the two of them. She shrugged though and grabbed a pair of double edge swords, which were hanging on the wall next to her, and decided to dive on in, grinning as she watched JJ go from her sight. She quickly rounded the corner after him, much like a child would in a game of tag, of course, this game was a little more dangerous than the one for children.
The young female made her way around the corner, swords in hand. She was on the lookout, all senses in tune to what was going on around her. Unlike JJ, Davina fought in close combat, her swords being the usual distance between her and her opponent so this could be difficult since, well, this was JJ's program, not that she really minded at all. It would just be more of a challenge for her, since JJ would probably take out robots faster than her anyway. Davina wouldn't mind too much though, she'd take out what she could, when she could. Like the robot who appeared in front of her two seconds after she turned the corner. With one quick slice, the robot was gone and the female smirked a little as she kept going. Looks like JJ missed one...or he left it for her to deal with. "Hey, JJ, did you leave me a present?" She called lightly as she looked around, listening for where the bird was.

JJ shook his head after Davina said he couldn't do any harm. Not the best thing to say to someone who is a trained assassin and was also trained by members of the Bat-family. A family of humans who held victories over many mutants and super humans. But no matter, she'd soon learn what a mistake she'd made. He smirked as he heard the robot he avoided fall.
"Well I couldn't have all the fun. Oh..."
JJ drew an arrow and fired at a concave wall. The arrow followed the curve up and then flew past his own head, hitting the wall by Davina's head.
"...that's for saying I can't do much harm."
He said with a smirk. He fired another arrow hitting a wall target. A robot appeared beside him and he flicked his wrist. A 4 inch blade appeared at the bottom of his bow. He spun avoiding the robot's clumsy attack and drove the blade into the target on its head, letting it fall.
"I need to tweak this program, they seem slower than normal."
He said shaking his head before rounding another corner and hitting the head of a robot about 50 yards down the way who seemed to not notice them.

"Yeah, I suppose you couldn't." Davina laughed and shook her head at him as she went to round another corner to go after him, but stopped herself when she heard the whistling of an arrow. She used her speed to move out of the way and looked at JJ's arrow. She pouted cutely, not that he could see of course. "You know, I was only teasing, JJ!" She called in a sing-song voice. before she made her way to where she heard him. She heard JJ's voice and tilted her head to the side a moment before she kept going. She sliced through a few robots and whatnot. Her eyes darted around and she kicked one in the head, the head flying off. She blinked. That didn't seem right.
"Hey Birdy, these robots don't seem right!" She said as she decided to put her speeding abilities to the test.Davina ran through the maze-type room like it was nothing, stopping near JJ, but not close enough for him to almost kill her if he was surprised, which she doubted. JJ was almost never surprised and if he was, it was because he was in the zone and there was little chance that he'd pop out of his zone. "Quick question," she said before she turned and blocked one of the robots attack, slicing it in half. "Why are these robots so...weak?" She asked, head tilted to the side as she looked at her leader.

"I know. But consider that the Alpha's attempt to remain Alpha."
He said with a slight laugh. He did usually allow open challenges to leadership. And so far he hadn't been beaten yet. Then again anyone who knew of his history usually didn't try and assume power. Most didn't want to mess with a trained assassin who had bloodlust and insanity issues. But if they ever did he welcomed the challenge, and won.
"Yeah, I know what you're talking about."
He said slowly walking and firing. He shook his head and sighed.
"Computer, cancel program."
There was a beep and the maze and robots faded leaving the two of them in a large empty room. JJ shook his head and began to pace back and forth with his bow.
"I know some people had been tweaking their programs. But I warned them that it could cause a problem across all programs."
He said shaking his head. He wanted to train now, not spend hours tweaking his own programs as well as everyone else's. He simply didn't have time for that.

"The Alpha's attempt to remain Alpha? Interesting," she said with a small smile. JJ should have known that Davina would never challenge his leadership. She knew better than that, especially since she had seen the way he would act sometimes. Between his bloodlust and his insanity, there was no way she would ever win, plus her father had always taught her that you never challenge a leader's position if their a good leader, and JJ was a good leader, though sometimes it was hard to get him out of his episodes when he did have one. Thankfully, Davina had never been there, but she knew it might happen one day and she had no idea how to help him. Though as JJ canceled the program and began to pace, she had a feeling it might be today.
Davina's icy blue eyes followed her leader as he paced back and forth in their training room, the robots and maze having dissolved. "JJ, it's fine," she said, watching him pace. "I mean, do you need to train right now?" She asked, half tempted to have him use her as a training dummy, not that she was at all in the category for being used as a stunt dummy but they could at least get some hand to hand combating in, despite how JJ obviously wanted target practice. He could always have the team tweak their programs again later or he could fix them later, she wasn't really sure what her leader wanted to do. Davina kept watching him, not getting dizzy in the least with her eyes following him and strangely enough, her eyes had only looked at his lean figure once(not that she minded).

"No, it's not. When I'm done here I'm putting a call in to Xavier's for a technopath. At least until we get our own."
He said shaking his head. He'd been petitioning technopaths from Xavier's to join the Avengers but none wanted to go against, or leave Rogue. Of course he respected that. He knew he wouldn't like people leaving him and going to New X. He continued to pace as he walked, thinking and now slowly muttering to himself.
"Yeah, pass codes, I need pass codes. That should help things. Or they could stop being weak, maybe that would help...."
He said as he mumbled, looking down and pacing. He stopped and looked over to Davina, as if her second question had just now registered with him.
"Yes I have to train now!"
Things began to slow down for him as he hurled his bow. It flew across the floor towards the gym area and went into a punching bag where sections had been marked indicating vital spots. His impaled in the one marked 'heart' and sand began to pour onto the floor.
"If we start going laxe and give up on training just because the room isn't working then the villains win. Davina get dressed, we're going down to Suicide Slum for patrol. Meet me by the teleporter in 10 minutes."
He said before walking over to retrieve his bow.

Davina listened to JJ as he spoke, not quite sure why he would want a mutant, but not minding it. They could help with their technical problem. She watched him as he paced still and muttered to himself, wondering if he was about to have one of his episodes. She didn't say anything as he walked and spoke, of course, she knew better. The boy wasn't exactly stable all the time and as such, most of the team had to watch what they were saying and when they were saying it. Of course, JJ being mentally unstable didn't mean that he wasn't a capable leader because he was a perfectly capable leader, he just had some insanity issues, not that Davina minded. Sometimes it added some excitement to her day when she saw him and another Avenger sort of...arguing or trying to calm him down. It was strange, but she enjoyed herself anyway while watching them which was probably somewhat psychotic. Oh well.
Davina neither spoke nor moved as JJ looked at her and yelled that he had to train right then. She watched as he threw his bow across the room and in to the punching bag. She noted that it hit directly in the heart, but didn't cringe. She listened to his explanation and nodded in understanding. She then nodded again when he told her what to do. "Yes sir," she said, obeying him like a good little soldier as she made her way towards the exit to pull on her suit. She walked into her room and sighed before she put on the black and red suit. She put her double-edged swords into their holsters and sighed a moment, pulling her hair up before she slipped on her mask. She gazed at herself in the mirror before nodding and heading to the transporter room. She looked around and looked around for her fearless leader.

JJ went to his room and quickly began to put his suit on and stock his quiver with new arrows. He hung the retrieved bow on his thigh in its compacted form before heading to the transporter room. He had his helmet underneath his arm while his robber style mask was already on. He always wore two masks, even if some claimed it was paranoia. He was just being safe, after all you never knew what could go wrong or when this was neccessary. He saw Davina and smiled.
"Davina, good to see you're ready."
He said before slipping on his helmet and clicking it into place. He walked up to the computer and nodded his head towards the teleporter for her to get on and be ready. It seemed as though he'd completely calmed down, and he apparently had. Although those that knew him knew another outburst was just beneath the surface, ready to break through at a moment's notice. He typed in the coordinates and joined her on the teleoporter and crossed his arms. They disappeared and reappeared on the roof of a large building just on the edge of Suicide Slum.
"Well here we are. Be ready for anything Deathstroke."

Davina looked over JJ as he walked into the teleporter room and nodded to him when he said that it was good to see that she was ready. She activated the speaking mechanism in her mask so her words wouldn't be muffled, not that she really spoke much while out on a mission with JJ. She knew not having his back and not listening to his orders would send him into another psychotic episode. She watched as he slipped on his helmet and jumped onto the teleporter pad and got into position. She waited for her fearless leader to get the coordinates and join her on the teleporter. She couldn't help but grin inside of her mask at the excitement of a little training mission. She wiped her smile off her face though and kept her heart rate down, knowing they were heading into to Suicide Slum.
There was a strange sensation that Davina had felt many times before as the duo disappeared from the teleporter room and appeared on the roof of a large building. She looked over to her left and saw that they were directly on the edge of Suicide Slum. A small smirk formed on her lips and she looked back at JJ as he spoke to her. "You got it, Nightwing," she said with a nod of her head. She walked towards the edge of the building and looked down a moment. She thought before she turned and walked back towards the edge of the building. She looked at JJ. "Are we being stealthy?" She asked, an almost teasing tone in her voice. Davina couldn't help being somewhat playful, which from her tone sounded somewhat flirtatious.

He grabbed his bow and with a flick of his wrist it grew. He didn't draw an arrow yet, he needed one hand to be free but also wanted to have a weapon ready just in case. They were in enemy territory after all. It was no different then if his grandfather had walked into the Joker's lair. But he felt the two of them were actually safer in entire crime filled neighborhood as opposed to being in the lair of one man, when the man is the Joker.
"Well unless we want to be over run we're going for stealth."
He said, his helmet causing his voice to come out deeper and even raspier than normal making him sound very different. The lights on his suit faded to a dull blue as he ran and jumped across the alley to the next building. Normally he'd listen to the police radio to find out where trouble was. But here, all he had to do was wait. He walked along the top of the building, sticking to the shadows and causing him to become almost invisible in the darkness. He never bothered to look and see if she was following, but merely assumed she was.

Davina tilted her head to the side and looked at him a moment, waiting for his answer. She watched as he grabbed his bow and got it to it's normal size. When he spoke, she nodded, use to his voice while it was inside of his helmet. She watched as the lights to his suit faded to a darker shade of blue and watched as he ran and jumped across the alley to the next building. It didn't take long for Davina to run and jump after him. She wasn't exactly right behind him, but she wasn't exactly far behind either. The girl knew how far behind she was supposed to be and how close she was supposed to get. She couldn't help but listen to every word he said and obey his every command, it was just how she was and how her father had trained her. It didn't take long before Davina was behind JJ, walking along beside him. Since Davina' suit was dark enough, she didn't exactly need to hide directly in the shadows.
It didn't take long for her to find some crime going on. She gently nudged JJ with her food, signaling to him that she found something and nodded her head towards the ground where the mugging was happening. She wasn't about to say anything aloud though and if JJ wanted to skip over it, they would. It didn't bother Davina one bit of JJ decided that he didn't want to help someone who was being mugged. He was her leader, her captain, and the man in charge and Davina knew better than to question him. She was a good little soldier who did everything she was told. Unless of course, JJ gave her a reason to not listen to him. Davina doubted that he ever would though. He may have a bloodlust problem, but he would know right from wrong, no matter what problems he had.

He glanced over to where Davina had motioned to see what was happening. A mugging, one man and a younger woman. He almost wanted to leave to teach her a lesson but that was against what he'd sworn to do. He'd sworn to defend the innocents no matter what. He drew an arrow and fired. The arrow hit the man's hand and pinned it to the wall and the woman stood there as the man screamed. Nightwing fired another arrow and it landed at the woman's feet. She looked up before grabbing her purse and taking off running.
"C'mon, there's gotta be something more than mugging."
He said before jumping to the next building. He looked around for something but couldn't see much. Oddly enough Suicide Slum was quiet, which meant something bigger was going down. Assuming she'd follow he broke into a run leaping from building to building and heading towards the center of the city, mob territory. He stopped in his tracks when he heard a scream and looked down to see a woman surrounded by two men. And judging by their expressions they had more in mind than mugging.
"Your turn."
He said quietly to Davina and motioned to the alley.
