[Nightwing]

He was about to reply but was silenced with her kiss. That was a habit that could grow to be very tricky as time wore on. But in the meantime he wouldn't complain. He was forgiven and got a kiss out of it. So all in all a good round for him. He sighed contentedly before relaxing and holding her close. He smiled before placing another kiss on her forehead. He was happier than he'd ever been, now that he had her.He smiled when he realized how calm she was about getting THE CODE to the Nest and even making a new suit for her.

"I know. And your mercilessness is part of what attracts me to you."

He said with a smirk.

"Although an updated suit could help you stand out from your mother. I mean look at me, I'm nuts and I use my father's name and a variant of his suit, to stand out."

He said nodding his head. He wanted to help her and already had a few ideas running through his head on how to better take care of her and her suit.

"Although it might be rather revealing....with an easily accessible zipper."

He said laughing.

Davina smiled when she didn't feel JJ resist her kiss at all. She giggled from her place in JJ's arms when she heard his happy sigh. She cuddled closer to him, glad that she was feeling him relax. She smiled when he kissed her forehead and looked up at him as he spoke once more. She giggled. "Just my mercilessness?" She teased playfully while grinning at his smirking face. She leaned forward and kissed him again, unable to help herself. Davina pulled away from the kiss and laid down before thinking about how the two of them would be with the rest of the team around. She wondered if JJ would still act like a team leader, her boyfriend, or a mixture of the two. Either way, Davina would follow his lead. If he didn't want the Avengers to know, or didn't want to bring their relationship into work, that was fine with her. JJ always had a reason for doing things and Davina understood that.

Davina heard his words about her standing out from her mother. She nodded somewhat in agreement, still thinking about it. "This is true," she muttered before hearing him say that it could be rather revealing with an easily accessible zipper. Davina laughed along with him and smacked him on the chest playfully before she kissed him once more. "JJ Grayson, if you had things your way, I'd be scantily clad all the time or naked," she joked before she leaned forward and bit at his bare chest playfully. She looked up and smirked at him before laying back down and relaxing in his arms. She sighed happily and just laid there, looking up at the ceiling and around the room. She was so glad to finally have JJ as her own.

"No, no, your mercilessness is just a part of what attracts me to you. There's also your sense of humor, general fighting skill, sense of justice plus you're incredibly beautiful."

He said laughing a bit. He was enjoying holding her in his arms. He was beginning to wonder how often she'd be here, his room or he'd be in her room. No doubt it would be really common. Although no matter how hard he tried that mission from the Fraternity stayed in the back of his mind. It'd be risky but now he really had something to fight to come back for. Usually he simply had an occasionally close family full of secrets, that was about it.

"Well yeah, of course you'd be scantily clad or naked. You're hot plus it makes things easier for me."

He said laughing as she playfully hit him. He was enjoying his time. Although if the guys on the team thought he was a pain to deal with before now it'd be even worse. Especially since he always had a weapon on him, something the guys on the team were pretty familiar with.

"I wonder how long it'll take before the rest of the team figures it out."

Davina smiled at JJ when he spoke about what else attracted him to her. She giggled at him and shook her head. "So my sense of humor, justice, fighting skills, and my beauty attract you to me? How interesting..." She paused. "I can honestly say that everything about you attracts me," she teased before she turned and leaned against him once more, kissing him softly. She snuggled closer to him, enjoying his warmth and his arms around her. She sighed happily and closed her eyes a moment, just listening to JJ's heartbeat and breathing. Then, of course, JJ commented on her statement about her being scantily clad or naked with his new suit that he would make her. She chuckled and shook her head before she hit him once more. "JJ Grayson, what am I going to do with you?" She asked, shaking her head.

When JJ mentioned how he wondered how long it would take before the rest of the team figured out that the two of them were together. Davina shrugged her shoulders. "I'm not quite sure how long it will take everyone else. I do know, though, that Elysia is going to kill me since she won't be the first person to find out about us," she said, shaking her head at the mention of her best friend, and JJ's only female cousin. Elysia had always been bugging the hell out of Davina, trying to get her to make a move on JJ before "any other skank ho tried to get his money," as Elysia loved to put it, which always made Davina feel good. She was glad that her best friend didn't think she was a skank ho or a woman who just wanted JJ's money since she didn't give a damn about money.

"What are you going to do with me? I've got a few ideas of things you can do with me...and I can do with you."

He said with a laugh before gently kissing her yet again. He wondered how long they'd actually lay here talking and cuddling. But he did know it wouldn't be long enough for him. He'd always be wanting to do this from now on. Especially considering it meant that she was his and his alone.

"Yeah, although the fact you and Elysia get along will help breaking the news to my family. As for the rest of my family...well that'll be a different story all together."

He said nodding his head. Thomas who didn't know who Davina was as far as he knew could be more complex. Helena would be the easier of the group. But he'd simply cross that bridge when he came to it

"It's just a shame we can't keep laying like this."

Davina chuckled and shook her head before hitting him playfully. Of course, as she did her lips were captured in a breathless kiss. She returned his kiss, smiling before she pulled away. "I'm sure your ideas are extremely detailed and vivid. Explain them to me later," she said with a playful, flirty wink before she laid back down in his arms, sighing happily. She loved being in JJ's arms. They were one of the safest places she had ever been and she knew it. Aside from being with her father and grandfather, JJ was one of the only people she felt comfortable and safe with. JJ's words about her best friend caused a pause in her thoughts. "The rest of your family?" She asked curiously, not understanding what he was getting at at all.

"It's just a shame we can't keep laying like this," came JJ's voice. Davina blinked, now confused once more. "And why can't we? What's stopping us from laying here?" She asked. She didn't have anywhere to go or have anything to do, so it must be something that JJ had to do. Davina's thoughts stopped as her mind flipped back to the black envelope that was still resting on JJ's desk. "Oh..." She trailed off, realizing that she would have to share JJ with not only his Avenger's position, but his position with the Fraternity as well. Davina would accept this, of course. She would always accept that she would have to share JJ with his two worlds. She knew he was practically married to his leadership position as an Avenger, but now she was sure that he was probably also married to his position in the Fraternity. If things got too crazy, the only one he wasn't married to was Davina...and she feared that she would be the one he got rid of.

"Explain? Screw that I'll show them to you. I've always been a more visual and physical learner."

He said with a wink. He could only imagine how many innuendos would take place especially in uniform and in a meeting or mission. Although he knew damn well that she was smart enough to also be knowing the exact same thing would be taking place from now on. He would however keep kicking himself for not saying something a lot sooner. Who knows where their relationship would be now if he'd said something.

"Yes, the rest of my family. I mean Christmas is coming and I heard through the pipeline that a huge family Christmas will be happening like we used to. And I want you to come. Elysia will be there."

He added the last part to try and lure her in a little better. Naturally she'd be nervous, as he would be meeting her family. However his family was much larger and no doubt she knew at least half of them were heroes.

"Well we have a lot stopping us. I mean there's the whole thing that I have a club to run. We each have jobs to do. So eventually we'll have to get up and do our jobs. But then we can hurry back to our spots here."

He said before hearing her sound rather deflated as she seemed to remember the black envelope and his revelation that he still worked as an assassin.

"Hey now, you're much too beautiful to look sad and I won't allow it."

He said before gently taking her chin and kissing her deeply.

Davina raised an eyebrow at her lover when he said that he would much rather show her since he'd always been a more visual and physical learner. "Yeah, but what's that got to do with you showing me your family?" She asked, giggling somewhat. She couldn't help herself. Sometimes JJ just didn't understand that he sometimes never made sense, but she knew that in his head she understood him. When JJ mentioned something about Christmas with his family, she paused her thoughts. "You want me to come with you? And Lysia will be there? Well...I...I dunno. I'll have to ask, Dad..." She said, trailing off. She wanted to spend Christmas with JJ, of course, but her father was her last living relative and as such, if he so desired, she would spend Christmas with him until he died. There was no offense meant to JJ, of course, but family always came first when it came to Davina.

Davina heard JJ's words and sighed, growing almost more and more sad as he spoke before he said that they could hurry back to their spots here. "But what if one is here while the other isn't?" She asked, looking over at him before she began to think about the black envelope that held JJ's newest little mission from the Fraternity. She felt JJ's hands take her chin and make her look up at him after he spoke, telling her that she was too beautiful to be sad and that he wouldn't allow it. When he kissed her, Davina smiled a little, feeling better about everything. She knew that it was stupid, but Davina felt that when JJ kissed her, everything was going to be alright. A sigh escaped Davina's lips before she pulled away from their kiss and leaned against him, resting her head on his bare chest once more.

"Well you can always invite your dad. I mean making up a lite as to why he's there when his voice is familiar could be tricky but we'd figure something out."

He said with a shrug and a laugh.

"I mean I'm all about family, even if my family is huge now, but still. And if you have to go be with him then we'll have our own private Christmas later. I'd go with you but my aunt threatened me if I didn't show."

He said laughing a bit before squeezing her closely and kissing the top of her head. He knew she was still concerned especially what with his impending job to kill someone who he didn't know and may not even know why he was doing what he was doing.

"Well we have our choice of three rooms. Eventually I'll find you. Nothing goes on in my tower without me knowing it, so I'll find you, no matter where you are."

Davina giggled and shook her head at her boyfriend. "No, just let me to talk to him. It's sort of the way that Dad and I do Christmas. We usually visit mum and grandpa's graves and then have a nice quiet Christmas in after opening presents and what not," she explained, shrugging her shoulders at him as if it was no big deal and really, it wasn't. Davina wasn't really as emotional about the deaths of her mother and grandfather. It was just another thing in her life that had happened. It made her stronger and it made her understand things a little better at times. Plus, she always kept close the things that they taught her. Sometimes she kept them closer than when her father taught her something, not that she didn't keep that close to her as well, but, well, dad was still alive, unlike mom and grandpa.

Davina smiled when he kissed the top of her head and spoke once more. She nodded her head in response to his words. She sighed gently and yawned before she cuddled closer to him, resting her head on his chest as she sighed once more. Suddenly, Davina felt extremely tired and exhausted. It seemed like their earlier activity was kicking her butt right about then. "JJ," she said quietly, resting her arm across his abdomen. "I'm tired," she murmured gently, her eyes starting to droop as she laid there. Davina was tempted to welcome sleep happily, but she resisted and tried to keep her eyes open so she could talk with her love, but she wasn't sure if her eyelids would stay open for much longer.

"Well he's still invited anyways. I mean I suppose I should meet him anyways so I could stop by before hand or even after."

He said with a shrug. This was a rarity in and of itself. JJ rarely made compromises, he usually just did what he wanted and assumed others would follow, which they did. But he really cared for her and didn't want to lose her. Not to mention Elysia wouldn't let him hear the end of it if he did lose her. He wasn't dumb and realized she had been trying to get them together for awhile. Plus there'd be the awkwardness of missions and meetings if they split up.

"Yes, I do tend to have that effect on women."

He said with a laugh.

"Go ahead and sleep babe, I'm not going anywhere, not with you holding me down."

He said with a smile before laying his head back and closing his eyes to try and get comfortable. Although he didn't have to try very hard. This was easily more comfortable then he'd ever been in his life.

Davina blinked at JJ when he said that maybe they could go visit her father. She smiled and kissed him softly. She then heard JJ's response to her being tired and rolled her eyes before he told her to go ahead and get some sleep. "Goodnight, JJ," she said with a yawn as she nodded and kissed his bare chest a moment before her eyes began to drive shut. Soon, she was out, thanks to Nightwing's steady heartbeat. Images of her and JJ filled her head as she dreamed and slept soundlessly. She didn't toss or turn. There were no nightmares, no images of death, just peaceful moments between her and JJ, which Davina loved more than anything. Even while she slept, Davina had a happy smile on her face.
