People were sitting in a restaurant all enjoying nice meals. It was about 10 at night so the restaurant wasn't as busy as it would've been a few hours ago. But suddenly a loud roar pierced the night. People looked out the windows and saw a large demon about the size of a car with black skin. But suddenly there was a blue blur coming at them and Daniel flew through the window, bounced off a table and crashed through another one. He laid there practically upside down groaning.
"Gotta heal the cuts."
The cuts on his arms and back began to stop bleeding but he'd have to focus on that later. He pulled himself up and shook his head before touching the communicator in his ear.
"This is Wyld Katt. I've got a....demon of some sort on 14th Street in New York."
He grabbed the silver pole off his back and gave a flick of the wrist and it extended. The demon burst through the wall as people ran for the back exits. Daniel twirled the staff before rushing forward with a growl. He jumped over the creature only to be grabbed out of mid air and hurled into a wall. He hit it, made a large hole and collapsed to the ground. He then saw someone standing over him and sighed.
"Shouldn't you be running with everyone else?"
He asked as he began to pull himself up with his staff.

Rain was taking a break from watching the the younger ones and spending some time to herself. She was walking around the city when a roar caught her attention. She immediately locked into where the roar came from and raced to the source of the noise. Rain suddenly wished she had not left her communicator on. She quickly switched it on only catching the end of Wyld Katt's transmission as she arrived.
"Black Tempest responding," she transmitted. She used the wind to arrive just as Wyld Katt hit and landed over him. Rain let out a small chuckle when Wyld asked why she was not running like everyone else. "When you have known me to run because of trouble?" she asked him with a smirk. Rain, even as a young girl, was known to be inquisitive and not run from danger. Many times people would tell her the old saying that "curiosity killed the cat."
Rain knew Wyld a little since they both had resided at the Xavier mansion. Some knew her more by reputation and what they heard on the news. Rain even before she moved into the mansion would occasionally visit with her mom. She at very least, Rain knew Wyld in passing. Her eyes were white as the clouds gathered above them. Rain had manifested her cat tail, the long black tail twitched back and forth as she looked up at the demon. "Any idea what we are up against besides a demon?" Rain asked as she directed a lightening bolt to strike the demon.

"Ah, the beautiful princess Rain."
He said with a smirk before stretching and cracking his back back into place. He rubbed it a bit before turning his attention back to Rain. He smirked at her first question and shook his head.
"See, that's why you and I would've gotten along so well. But for some reason people were always so worried about me. I guess it's that everyone is jealous of what I can do. Well, either that or the blood sucking thing."
He said with a shrug before twirling the staff and watching the demon. He gave a light smirk as Rain blasted him with lightning. He shook his head as the demon shrugged off the blast.
"We're facing a rock demon, surely you noticed the smell. It's made of mostly brimstone and a few other minerals I got bored while listening to so I stopped paying attention."
He said laughing a bit. He was easily distracted and was more focused on fighting than learning, even though he knew quite a bit about demons and other occult things.
"We need water. Live up to your name sweetheart and I'll take care of the rest."
He said pulling out his revolver and spinning the chamber.

Rain chuckled when Wyld identified her. "I am pretty sure they are worried about the whole blood sucking thing," Rain told him as her tail jerked to the side. "Dracula did attempt to turn my mother into a vampire before," Rain pointed out casually. "Does not mean we can not be friends though," Rain pointed out.
Rain let out a small growl of disappointment when the demon shrugged off her lightening. "I did notice the smell but, I was not taught as much as you about demons," Rain pointed out. Rain chuckled when he stated that he had gotten bored and stopped paying attention. "Why I am not surprised?" she asked.
As soon as he told her that they needed water and he would take care of the rest there was a crack and a downpour of rain poured out of the clouds that Rain had been gathering above the demons head. Soon the demon and the area surrounding it were drenched in water while leaving the two heroes dry.

"Hey, what my grandfather did isn't my fault. He's a psycho who's currently being hunted by my mom. I keep wondering if she found him yet, but something tells me I'd know."
He said with a smirk.
"And what fun is only friends?"
He asked with a wink before turning his attention back to the matter at hand. He easily avoided whatever the demon hurled at them. Chairs, tables, it's own rocks, pieces of wall and a person or two. But the fact he wasn't rushing in concerned him.
"Yeah, my new job allows for quite an interesting learning experience."
He said with a shrug. He rushed forward, jabbing it with his staff to keep it in place as the rain poured. His staff had been blessed and the demon roared as the staff touched his rock hide. Once he felt enough water had poured down on it Wyld rushed forward. The demon was obviously weaker having dropped to one knee. Wyld placed one foot on the demon's knee and jumped up before firing the gun point blank into the demon's head. The demon let out a loud roar which turned into a groan before it fell back and stopped moving. Wyld meanwhile had flipped backwards off the demon and landed a few feet near Rain. His eyes grew wide as the demon began to shake violently. He grabbed Rain and ducked down shielding her body with his own as the demon exploded sending pieces of rock and brimstone all over the restaurant.
"Almost forgot about that."
He said with a light laugh before releasing her and standing up.

"Like I said they are worried about it," Rain pointed out. "I think part of it is also my nose for trouble and being in line for the throne," Rain pointed out. She chuckled when he asked about only being friends and then winking at her. Rain then returned her full attention to the battle. Rain seeing that her human form was a bigger target she shifted into a Margay, which was known for its jumping ability. She dodged the debris easily in her small cat form. When the debris stopped she returned to human form. "I can only imagine," she told him when Wyld told her that his new job was a learning experience. She concentrated on keeping the rain pouring in the demon. The night was not inclined to rain so it was harder to keep the downpour going and required more effort to draw the moisture out of the air to keep the rain going. She kept watching both the demon and the patterns of weather around him. Rain was not sure what was happening when the demon started shaking but, luckily for her Wyld did. Wyld grabbed her and her concentration lapsed and the cloud and rain dissipated rather quickly. "How did you forget something like that?" Rain asked him as he got back to his feet. She got to her feet quickly and shook her head. "You are one of a kind, and I do not mean your genes," she told him with a smirk. OOC: what a Margay is: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margay

He couldn't help but laugh at her anger at forgetting that rock demons explode after they're killed. That was one issue he always had with Xavier's and New X. Everyone was so up tight, it was almost annoying. Then again so was the BPRD being a government agency. But most ignored Danny, provided he produced. And he knew that if he didn't provide Nate his ass would be fired. And being fired from the BPRD was a serious thing. He'd have no choice but to go to New X. Since according to the government he didn't exist, anymore.
"Hey, at least I remembered in time. The last thing I need is the Wakandan government on my ass too."
He said shaking his head before smiling widely. Some thought he was a little dumb, and in some instances he was. But anything that sounded like a compliment, he took as one.
"Thanks sweet heart."
He said with a wink before looking around as he walked through the ankle deep water. He almost forgot he was still holding his revolver and tucked it back just above his tail. He twirled his silver staff before throwing that in the sling over his shoulder. He flicked his slightly damp blue hair back from when he'd rushed the demon as his tail flicked around behind him.
"Tell ya what princess. Let me make it up to you. Let's go get something to eat, just you and I. And you can enjoy my great company while I enjoy your beautiful face scintillating wit."

Rain snorted and twitched her tail when he laughed. She then moved some stray hair out of her face. "Actually, it would not be the government you would have to be so worried about as my mother. She would not hesitate to zap you with lightening. Or use the many other tricks up her sleeve. The government, they are not as likely to make sure you personally feel their wrath," Rain pointed out.
Rain sighed and shook her head when he called her sweet heart. "There are several people who would have problems with you calling me that," she stated casually. There were no shortage of men and boys who thought they would be the perfect husband for Rain.
"Are you buying or am I?" Rain asked when he suggested that they get something to eat. Rain did not bother getting her feet wet and used the wind to avoid trudging in the water. "Any place you prefer to go to eat?" Rain asked him.

"Ah, yes Storm. I do remember her being exceptionally protective of you when we were younger. I never had that bit of protection when I was younger. But we can't all be vampire royalty either."
He said laughing a bit. He knew that with his grandfather being Dracula he was technically considered royalty in the vampire world. Not sure what he'd be but he liked to think he was a prince. His mother had warned Danny about his grandfather and he just hoped he could stake his grandfather when his mother couldn't.
"Well actually the government is buying."
He said with a smirk before patting his back pocket where he kept various IDs as well as money and his government credit card.
"Nope, it's the ladies choice."
He jumped into one of the holes and perched on what was left of that part of the wall. He looked over at her with a smirk, his gaze moving up and down.

Rain chuckled when Wyld mentioned remembering Ororo being protective of her. "She is very protective of her friends and other family to. I think they were times where I did scare her half to death," Rain stated with a smile. She shrugged when he stated they could not all be royalty.
"Then we will call it a Diplomatic Dinner and we where discussing issues of state," Rain stated with a grin. She knew that Wakanda was not always on good terms with the state and figured it could not hurt since in a way there where both representing their countries.
"My mother has told me of this great Italian restaurant that she loves. I find I have a rather interesting fondness for Italian food," Rain told him.

"Hmm, that could work. I mean I am a government agent after all."
He said nodding his head. Naturally he had a lot more freedom with his job then say the FBI or even CIA. And since the Geneva Convention only applied to humans it made demons, elves and so forth fair game for whatever had to be done.
"I haven't had Italian in a while. It's just mostly been fast food burgers for me. I need to be careful, I don't want to ruin my amazing physique, wouldn't you agree?"
He asked before jumping down to the sidewalk. He saw the BPRD Garbage trucks and black cars already going to work. He was about to open his mouth when his communicator began going off.
"Excuse me won't you?"
He said before going around the corner.
"Go for Wyld Kat.........yes the demon has been terminated........no sir, no sign of Nate yet........I know my job depends on this sir.......don't worry I'll find him, one way or another.....ok Wyld out."
He sighed and shook his head before plastering on his usual smile and going around the corner to where he'd left Rain.
"Sorry, work stuff."

"Exactly and I am one of the next in line for the throne of Wakanda so for all they know we planned it as a Diplomatic Dinner. We may end talking about politics before the meal is over as it is," Rain told him. "It seems to come up many times at table discussions," Rain told him.
Rain chuckled when Wyld stated that he mostly ate fast food burgers and had to watch his figure. "I would think that the burgers are going to ruin your figure more then then a couple of nights of Italian food. I would suggest that you really want to keep your figure, stop eating so much fast food," Rain told him.
Rain nodded when Wyld asked to be excuse for a moment. She then turned her attention to the water that was left. She summoned a small warm wind to dry up the water letting Wyld have his conversation in as much privacy as she could give him. She turned when he returned after his phone call. "Whats that saying, about work never being done?" she asked him. "I understand, I remember times when my parents have been called away from family time to attend to matters of state," Rain told him.

"Ehhh...politics. But I suppose to help the cover it should come up once or twice."
He said with a shrug. But soon he was distracted with his call. He knew his superiors were watching, they always were. He didn't know exactly how they managed it, but they did. Whether it was some sort of Occult magic or good technology he didn't know. Either way he was always being watched, observed and judged.
"Sorry about that. But yeah, work's never really done, well at least not my work."
He said with a shrug.
"And as for constantly eating fast food, well not much is open so late when I'm up. So it's either that or my preferred method of eating. So I suppose I am making a better decision."
He said smiling. He looked up and down the street before looking back to her.
"So anyways, which way to this restaurant, Princess?"

Rain chuckled when Wyld said they should talk about politics a couple time at least. "At least you can get away from politics. For me, it is a lot harder," Rain pointed out. She knew her father was a lot better at politics then she was.
"My mom says the same thing. She points out that a queen and king must always remember their duty to their subjects, and always try to act accordingly," Rain stated. Rain sighed and shook her head. "Maybe this dinner might lead to a way to improve communication between our countries," Rain pointed out.
"Indeed, fast food is preferable then your other choice of food," Rain agreed. "Follow me," Rain told him. She started walking and leading him to where her mother told her the restaurant was. Rain walked right to the restaurant. "It may not look like much, but mom says the food it fantastic," Rain told him.

"Actually you'd be surprised...."
He said with a sigh.
"I'm a government agent and vampire prince, I have my fair share of politics to deal with."
He said giving a slight laugh. Sure he didn't have as much to deal with as she did, but that didn't mean that he didn't have his own experiences with politics.
"Alright, enough politics for now."
He said shaking his head. He hated talking politics and didn't know why they HAD to talk about it. Then again her mom might not like knowing she went out to dinner with Danny. There were a few people who had issues with him at Xavier's. He only fed on one student and that was by accident. His blood lust got the better of him, it was an accident. Danny followed her in, looking around as he did. It wasn't what he'd expected but it was an interesting looking restaurant that's for sure.
"Well your mom was always a pretty good judge of some things."
